Announcement   Hello!
My name is Rosa.
Welcome to my little shop where you will find my handmade items from vintage shabby chic fabrics. I love giving a new life to the textile treasures I find on antique fairs and flee markets in France.
All my fabrics have been freshly washed and are in good condition, but they have lived. During the years their colours only become more beautiful.
These materials, produced during a period when pesticides and chemicals were still very rare, are natural and sustainable and deserve a beautiful second life.
Sometimes I work with good reproduction fabrics and make that always clear in the listing.
I invite you to have a browse in my shop and see for yourself.

About

Handmade items from Shabby Chic Vintage Fabrics

Hello,
My name is Rosa.
As long as I can remember I have loved roses, shabby chic, vintage fabrics, linen and lace. My greatest passion is to give a second life to all the treasures I find at flea markets in my sweet and beautiful Normandy in France. Because of this every item in my shop is handmade and unique.
You’ll find plenty of things to decorate your house with, but also accessories for yourself and of course many lovely presents.
I make everything myself. I am the owner, the creator and the photographer. It ‘s not always easy to take good photos of textile items. It’s difficult to reveal the real colours and texture of old fabrics, but my clients often tell me that their purchases are even more beautiful in reality than in the photos.
In my workshop, my attic, I have a nice collection of ‘linge ancien’ as it is called in French: linen sheets, nightgowns , tea towels, table cloths, etc. most of the time beautifully embroidered with monograms and other decorations. I’m always moved when I think of all the little hands that created this beautiful work a long time ago. That ‘s why I think that these treasures deserve a second life.
I have always liked working with my hands, making nice things. - I even need it. When I was too busy in the past with my work as a language teacher and translator and had no time for it, I was much less happy. Head and hands have to work together.
Two years ago I started my Etsy shop and I am extremely happy with it. Etsy gives me the opportunity to sell some of my creations and I have already met so many friendly Etsy buyers.

All items are handmade by me with the greatest care. My philosophy is to give a new life to vintage fabrics.. It's sustainable and beautiful. The old fabrics I use are always freshly washed and clean. They are in good condition, but they have LIVED. That's part of its charm.
Sometimes I use good reproduction fabrics, which are beautiful too.
