Born in an Indian family disowned by her parents and raised by her gran, Anita had very little of childhood fun and frolic as she had to fend for her own education by
assisting her neighbor who she lovingly called Aunty with work she got from a factory such beading, floral making, embroidery and sequencing.
Her only childhood recreation was a walk in the nearby park. Seeing, smelling and touching flowers was her heart delight. She just wanted this memory to stay on forever at home with her and started working on scrap paper and cloth and producing what she saw. Looking at her brilliant work and her passion the Aunt encouraged her to used her passion into a profession by assisting others in their floral arrangements.
She was heartbroken seeing her friend in tears refusing to walk down the aisle because her bridal bouquet was so distastefully made. The mother of the bride begged of Anita to make a bridal bouquet for her daughter at the eleventh hour. This was a breakthrough moment for her as her talent was soon recognized on a more recognized platform when everyone took the artificial bouquet for a natural one.
Having moved around the world and her work being both globally and internationally recognized on migrating to the U.S she set up her own ‘Etsy store’ through her friend whom she believed in.
She is constantly evolving and setting trends in the floral home and decor spaces.
Her love for the natural inspired her to preserve the natural throughout the year and this is evident in her artistically exquisite floral bouquets, floral arrangements, gifts and home decors.
Anita just as her name is gracious and beautiful in all that she represents.
