Welcome to the "About Us" section. We will try to disclose as much about our history as possible. So, we are a young family from Ukraine. My name is Olena, my husband is Nikki and our two daughters are Anastasia and Anna-Maria. Since childhood, I have had an interest in exchanging something with someone. I even remember how my mother scolded me for exchanging a game constructor for a candy in kindergarten, and the candy for a new doll.😁 Of course, I had to return those things, but the talent cannot be returned. So, my career as a salesperson began and continues to this day. I currently work in a real store and at the same time try to answer customers’ messages on Etsy. I dream of the time when I will be able to devote myself to Etsy to the full. We are currently only growing as our children are growing and Etsy is presently not full-time, but we believe that our dream will come true.

My husband Nikolay has been involved in timber processing since childhood. He was attracted to this craft by his father. He and his father owned a sawmill where they processed round tree trunks. My husband’s neighbours liked him very much because all the benches in the area he made for them free of charge. And what can you take from pensioners? As my husband says: "There is nothing more valuable than a happy pensioner. They are like small children who once built this World for us. We simply owe them." My husband has never done wood carving for sale, only for friends and family. But it so happened that we lost everything because of the events in the east of our country and were forced to leave everything and change the place of residence for our and our children’s safety. These terrible times have passed and we decided that there is nothing more wonderful than rising like a Phoenix. My husband made new acquaintances and it turned out that these people are also fond of woodworking. When my husband told me that he had met Victor, who was also a carving master I had an idea, which I dreamed of all the time. It is to show the world what wonderful works of art my husband makes with his own hands.

One evening, I asked my husband, "Don’t you want to show your talent to the world?" He laughed and said: "Who needs it? There is so much beauty in the world, I'm no match for it". Of course, I was upset, but I didn't give up my idea. Once, I asked my sister Evgeniya (the photographer) to ask my husband to make a carved box for her birthday and he, of course, could not refuse. My husband cut out a beautiful box and my sister secretly posted it on the network to see how many likes it would get. When the photo got 250 likes in 3 hours, I realized that I was not mistaken and confessed everything to my husband. He was angry at first, but then agreed to give it a try. So, the first stone was laid in our small family business building. Of course, there were a lot of difficulties, but the desire to share his wonderful products with the world was stronger.

The first thing my husband said was that he wants his products to be an exclusive brand, but no one knew which one. After that the question of our brand and its name was an extremely accute and I realized that the names of all world-known brands are not just the set of letters and words, but the real brainstorming of their creators. We thought with the whole family and close friends, but it turned out to be a difficult answer to come up with. From the start we faced, it would seem, with a trifle, but that trifle was the main foundation on the way of making something incredible.

Perhaps, the Royal Tabula brand will seem like empty sounds to someone, but this is not so. Once, I saw my husband preparing and processing boards for carving work. Oooh, this is a whole ritual! You should saw, grind, process with some kind of liquid, dry again, process, polish. And it seemed to me that this is all endless. But my husband explained that this is a special approach to processing the board, so that it will be solid and won’t deteriorate. Then I said: "So, this is not just a board, this is a special board!" So, the first word of our brand "Tabula" has appeared. Tabula is from the ancient Greek language - a special board (it was also used as a special board for the game).

During the kid’s party in the kindergarten, where my daughter was the Snow Queen, my husband leaned over to me and said: "Royal". "Sorry?" - I replied. The husband repeated: "Royal Tabula". So, our brand Royal Tabula was born and yes, damn it, these products are truly Royal!

Some time has passed and I think, what name of our brand could have been if I had not visited my husband's workshop and my daughter did not have that kiddy party? There is no answer to this question, but I know for sure that without God's blessing, we could not be where we are.
