Announcement   Thank you so much for stopping by my store! I've been creating art since a very young age and I'm here to share it with you

The pencil drawings of architectural landmarks were commissioned by a Detroit consulting firm for an annual report/calendar. I really enjoyed creating them in black & white because it takes a different eye then creating in color. I also work in prismacolor pencils and I often mix them with other water based media. I've drawn botanicals, portraits, still lifes and architecture.

As a graphic designer, I'm always evolving to be more fluent in Adobe software and I'm currently creating surface pattern designs. Patterns have always been a huge part of me and especially when I was young. I loved my mothers vintage childrens books along with Pennsylvania Dutch quilts and tole painting. I once tole painted on 2 chairs created by a local Amish neighbor and I used to tole paint on wooden boxes and plaques. I taught myself how to knit and I love texture so I will spend a lot of time learning how to follow intricate knit texture patterns. In art school I created an intense brochure on oriental rugs and I handpainted all the illustrations with Dr. Martins & Luma watercolor dyes. Now I create my own motifs by hand using felt tip pens, watercolors & colored pencils or by computer...or both. The more intricate, the more exciting for me.

Please do not hesitate to message me if you have any questions about my work or if you are interested in commissioning artwork with me.

About

An eye for creating art and art with a creative eye

I've been a graphic designer in the print industry for over 30 years while also creating fine art. In 2014 I was hit by a car as I was riding my bike and while physically rehabilitating to overcome chronic pain, I started taking online courses in surface pattern design. I fell in love with the process and I've become enamored with creating fine art that I scan and digitally create into repeat patterns for fabric, wallpaper, rugs, clothing and so much more.

I'm a loyal fan of Detroit after moving here over 20 yrs ago. My two kitties, Pi & Flynn, assist me with my small business out of our home. I live in a small 500 sq. ft. cottage and I hope to own a tiny house someday soon. Minimalism is a goal.
