What is not FABULOUS about this painting?????? I bought it in a heartbeat- beating others suitors off with a broom! And this is just out of Russ's head to his hand. Can you imagine that? It is a masterpiece !!!I'm probably the most avid collector of Potaks- they are all great but sometimes pure magic happens....

Sometimes with great artists something extra magical occurs and that is what has happened with Candle Lighter. Those who viewed were awe struck- I'm the lucky one who got there first!!!Thanks Russ!

About

Art and Me, One in the Same

My first language is art. The visual. My second language is the verbal. Art was my form of communication long before I could form a word. It still is. I express what I see, feel, and dream through my art. I absorb the life around me, and transfer that into a the visual translation using paint. I feel I can communicate a lot better by a painting, than I can in other ways. When I see something, experience something, of imagine something, I can't wait to put it into paint, so that I can show you all out there what has been channeled through visions and perceptions. Its a wonderful gift to have and I feel I need to keep it well. I love transfer my impressions and sensations, onto the canvas using whatever medium I happen to choose. Acrylic, watercolor, oil pastel, pencil, gouache or pen, and anything in between. I have been painting forever, and even longer than that. Its what I do, 24/7. I work at the easel daily, and am passionate about my art. Here, in my workplace, nestled in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts, I put on my favorite music, grab my cup of joe, and head for my easel. Its exciting to speak in these visual terms using my art. I hope you enjoy it and become one of my collectors! Art keeps on giving and its keeps on living. And thanks for visiting my Etsy gallery here.

Additional policies and FAQs
VARNISHED??

YES. Most all works of acrylic and or oil pastel are lightly varnished to enhance and protect the artwork. Only watercolor and some types of charcoal or water soluble inks are not varnished.

~ ABOUT LIGHTING ON A PAINTING ~
Paintings on computer screens are under full "lux' illumination. In real life, this doesn't exist. Direct or indirect from artificial or natural sources are what illuminates a work of art. They will appear different depending on the choice of lighting or strength of it. To approximate computer screen lighting, an overhead daylight type lamp above the painting would be best, although would recommend letting it exist in all types of lighting to see its many different effects.

NEW INSTALLMENT PLAN!
A Reserve can be set on a painting for up to 7 days. This can allow you to come up with a plan for purchase. After that time the painting will go back into the general listing for public sale.
On request you may ask if you can pay for a work on INSTALLMENTS. Lower ticket item would be in two installments, and higher priced items would be in three.
