Great step for the closet. Love the color. Was a little wobbly, but hubby fixed it up perfectly.

About

Filling the Void

If you ask any of our children, they would all three tell you the same thing...their father has always enjoyed working in his shop. In fact, the last house we purchased made the final cut solely because of the spacious shop located out back. Building custom pieces of furniture for family and friends has been a life-long passion for Lee. He is simply in his element when there is saw dust under his feet and the feel of wood in his hands.

Late 2010 brought many changes to our family. All three children transitioned to new chapters of their lives. Our oldest son, Ross, was in his second year at East Carolina University majoring in Chemistry. The twins, Allie and Trey, had just graduated from high school and were starting their college experiences. Trey followed in his brother's footsteps and enrolled at East Carolina University where he was a red-shirt freshman on the ECU Pirate Football Team. Allie decided to stay close to home and enrolled at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. With all three children following their dreams, we were left with more time than we could fill. Although we both work full-time jobs, the weekends were not as busy once all of the children were out of the house.

Etsy first crossed our radar in October of 2010. Our niece actually mentioned Etsy to us one night at dinner. She was taking an art class at UNC-Charlotte and heard about the opportunities for artisans to showcase their talents. We checked out the website and were quite impressed with what we saw.

By early November, we decided to set up our own Etsy shop. From that time forward, our Etsy journey has continuously amazed us. The entire process of setting the shop up to learning how to ship large items has been an enjoyable experience. Nothing, however, compares to the sense of community and friendship we have experienced as we have worked with customers from coast to coast and numerous places in between. The opportunity to get to know and interact with the wonderful customers of Etsy has by far been the most fulfilling part of our Etsy experience. One recent convo from a "happy camper" (as she described herself) summed up what keeps us excited about our Etsy adventures. It read:

"Thank you so much for your incredible craftsmanship, professionalism and prompt turnaround! You were so kind and genuine and I greatly appreciate your communication throughout the process!"

Our journey continues on Etsy. It is our desire and mission to provide quality hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind furniture items with courteous, pleasant customer service. We hope that we can help you with your furniture needs!

Thanks for taking time to read our story. Take care!

Shipping
Any customer is welcome to contact me to inquire about cheaper shipping options. Determining final weight and dimensions of unpackaged items and not knowing their final destinations is difficult. Shipping prices listed are the most you will pay. However, by contacting me prior to purchase, you may be able to save some expense by providing your zip code. I will then research shipping rates with UPS, FedEx, USPS and Greyhound.

We strive to ship items as quickly as possible. We like for the paint and finish on custom items to cure for a couple of days before we ship.
Refunds and Exchanges
We want every customer to be 100% pleased with their purchase. We will work with customers individually to resolve any issues of dissatisfaction.

In the event that a customer decides to cancel an order, any materials purchased for the construction of the item will be deducted from the refund amount.
