About

Rustic Mud Pottery

Several years ago I started glass fusing, and began to create my own texture molds for slumping. As I learned the ins and outs of fusing, I felt limited to what I could create. This sparked an interest in working more with clay and ceramics. With clay, there are no limits as to what you can create. I like functional pottery that can add flare to your everyday routine.

I love to experiment with glazes creating new and exciting combinations. Each kiln opening is like Christmas morning for me. I hope to continue learning and pushing my creativity to its limits.

Feel free to take a look around, I love to hear feedback. You can post your questions and feedback on my Facebook page also. www.facebook.com/rusticmud

Frequently asked questions

I like that yarn bowl but would like it in another color...

If you like a piece but prefer another color, I can create a custom listing for you. I am limited to the color pallet that is in stock. If you see a color on mug in my shop and would like it on bowl, I can do that. I am not able to custom match colors to your decor. Note that some computers may display colors slightly different than in person.

Can I put my pottery in the dishwasher or microwave?

I make functional pottery that is meant to be used on a daily basis. However, pottery is breakable and should be protected from obvious shocks like dropping it and from sudden changes in temperature. Uneven heating can cause it to crack. Heat dry cycles on dishwashers can cause pieces to crack as well as putting a cold dish into a hot oven. Extended dishwasher use will cause the finish to dull prematurely. Do not pour boiling hot water in a mug without warming it first under running hot tap water.

Do you sell wholesale or offer wholesale discounts?

Each situation is handled on a case to case basis. Minimum wholesale discount purchase is $500, Please contact me to further discuss your needs.

What do I do if my item arrives broken?

I do my very best to ensure that your items are packed safely for shipping. Accidents happen. If your items arrives broken or damaged, do not throw any of the packing away and contact me immediately. In most cases, I will need to file a claim including pictures of the damage. In some rare cases, the post office may require returning the damaged items to them for further inspection. Please hold onto the damaged pieces until the claim is processed and you receive a refund or replacement.

I like this piece, can I get additional photos of it before I buy?

Absolutely! Etsy limits us to 5 photos per listing which sometimes is not enough. I do my best to display all angles of the pieces but if you need to see more before deciding on your purchase, just let me know. I would be happy to send them to you.

I have additional questions, how can I contact you?
