About

Running the farm

The name Rustic Roots Farm started when my husband and I moved back to our countryside "roots". It also developed since I'm a tree lover and have literally studied roots. This dream started years ago to own a farm and live more sustainably. We bought the farm in 2010 with the goal to raise a family and live closer to the land. One little boy and a baby girl later and it's the beginning of something grand. We've started with an organic garden, field of herbs, fruit orchard, forested woods, bees, sheep, and chickens. We've also teamed up with my farming-minded (and most excellent) in laws to combine even more bee and baa (bees and sheep wool) products! Now it is an official shop selling all things "bees, baas, and buds"!

    Rustic Roots Farm Owner

I'm a mom and running the farm! In my former life, I hold a Master's degree in Forest Ecology & Management and have taught agroforestry in South America through the Peace Corps. My best decision ever was marrying my husband, Jeff and becoming a mom.

  • Jeff Dohner

    Husband/Woodworker/Engineer

Jeff is an all around hands on type of guy. On the farm he's the fixer and operator of large machinery and woodworking. In the family, he's my supportive husband, a great daddy, and my best life decision.

Hello! Rustic Roots Farm is an Etsy based farm shop. How do you like that for the 21st century?? Eh? I love the farm life, but I like the modern world too. This combines both. I'm able to be "down on the farm" as well as interact with great people! I like to take what's in my environment and share the wealth. My husband and I purchased these beautiful 10 acres two years ago and now I'm living off the land. We are dedicated to bees, sheep, an organic garden, fields of herbs, fruit orchard, forested woods, and the products that the land reaps. Enjoy Rustic Roots Farm!

Returns and exchanges
Due to the nature of my rustic custom products, it is difficult to give refunds. If possible I can offer exchanges on items though the cost of shipping will be the customers responsibility since many items are bulky and awkward to ship.
Payment
I accept Direct Checkout through Etsy and PayPal.

If you need to cancel an item, please do so before I ship. I try to ship faster than my shipping dates.
Shipping
My packages are sent via recycled shipping materials. This helps keep the cost of shipping low but more importantly it's eco-friendly. I live on a farm and it's important to me that I know what comes in and off of my land. I do put a honey colored label on the box/envelope marked as Rustic Roots Farm so you know what package is being delivered.

Any other shipping requests, please convo me and I will be happy to accommodate. This includes shipping via anything other than USPS, upgrades, rush delivery, insurance needed, confirmation needed, or international customs.
