Announcement   I got to be a little more than 3 months all together in Israel in one year. (Two separate trips) I feel so lucky and I am already homesick.
All of my "Judaica Hebrew on Fabric is on sale for %40 off. Some of it has been sold and some of the pieces are being made into something else. I will continue to have Blessings on Fabric, it is just being scaled down.
I am fortunate enough to be at home right now and be pursuing my passion of art and creativity. So you will see quite a few changes in products, now that I have the time to do what I love: creating fiber, collage art and of course Judaica.
I hope in my humble shop that you will find Judaica art and supplies that will make you feel inspired. I use blessings. sayings, psalms and ethos from Ethics of Our Fathers.
I enjoy pushing the boundaries of art and what can be used in art. I use mostly my hand dyed fabric and I twist and spin fibers and threads for embellishments. I use a computer and a printer with a solution to make the ink permanent to print on fabric. I love cotton and silk and who knows what else.
Life, family, Judaism, politics, words and colors are just some of the things that inspire me.
Thank you for the visit.

I plan to string this lovely fabric prayer and fly it as a flag while camping and backpacking. The dye is lush and the printing clear. A neat idea!

About

Across the globe I am always sewing, making collages and drawing trees of all sorts

I learned to sew when I was 10. I was already making collages and jewelry. I love the creative journey. As a teenager I began to travel to Israel. I studied in FIDM and flew back to Israel and stayed for more than 25 years. In Israel I studied Social Studies while continuously sewing and drawing any chance I could get. When my oldest daughter was born (she is now 29) I discovered quilting and my creative journey took a big leap forward. I have found a way to use everything I love in quilts. If it is sewing or collage work, it seems to lend itself to it.
I have always loved Judaica and so I now make Judaica art quilts. I was at a guild meeting in Jerusalem when I came across a member that was selling her best friend's hand painted fabric. Nobody wanted it even though all the money was going to her friend's favorite charities. Her friend passed away suddenly while she was starting to make her dream of Judaica and quilt art together. I bought it and used it all only in Judaica. I felt that I was helping someone out. But I got hooked on Judaica art quilts. Here I am about 15 years later and I am still very excited about making Judaica art quilts.
Inspiration can come from many places. Of course my love of the Middle East and the landscape. Often politics will inspire me, for instance Order and Disorder was designed with the need to have both in our lives in order to get along. Inspiration often comes from my family and friendship, trees, the sea anywhere in the world, colors and now that I am in America my longing for Israel.
Of course I still make quilts, art quilts, I still sew clothes, my collage work has become repurposed items, and I still draw an occasional tree.

I am a red head with green eyes that can get a tan. I love to read and enjoy a good story anytime. I love working with fabric and threads. Judaism, politics, family and Israel inspire me in different degrees in all my projects in art and in life.

Thank you for taking the time to see my shop. I hope you enjoy browsing as much as I do creating these items. I love working with fabric. Though I start with an image in my head and in my journal, I never really know what the final end piece will be.
I am also really pleased to be selling my handmade supplies for other artist to help them on there creative journey!
