years ago i became captivated by the repetitious act. objects produced manually by repeating process, requiring substantial time to achieve certain desired effects fascinates me. it seems skilled manual labor amounts to a type of kung fu or yoga. muscle memory with good form, sequenced gracefully by efficient transitions. a great deal of my time has been spent in such a way. i've been doing the same thing for ages and it still seems different; feels comfortably familiar yet theres more to explore. like reading the same book twice or several times even, the text may actually be the same but the approach, the previous knowledge applied provides new understanding and thus a new experience. this can be applied to most all things in life. as a tourist in my own neighborhood, i am never without wonder.
