SAÏA nació de mi pasión y frustración.

Soy un entusiasta del yoga inglés / mexicano y amante de los animales con experiencia en la industria de la moda.

Poco después de que el yoga se convirtiera en parte de mi vida, comencé mi búsqueda de la bolsa de esterilla de yoga perfecta, una que fuera funcional y se viera hermosa, ya sea que estuviera usando mis leggings de yoga o cualquier otro atuendo.

Yo era una de las muchas mujeres con este problema, y después de buscar incansablemente un producto hermoso, se convirtió en mi pasión cerrar la brecha entre la moda y las bolsas de esterillas de yoga y dar vida a un producto que a las mujeres les encantaría y se sentirían orgullosas de usar.

Con la ayuda de mi abuela, que es costurera, creamos el primer prototipo y nació SAÏA.

SAÏA significa 'Una mujer que gana' y está inspirada en una historia personal de empoderamiento femenino que me ha influido desde que era una niña.

Mi bisabuela, Calandita, una mujer muy humilde que vivía y trabajaba en una pequeña granja.
Cuando tuvo la edad suficiente, vendió una vaca para financiar su salida de la granja y la ciudad en busca de mejores oportunidades.

Si no fuera por el coraje y la confianza en sí misma de mi bisabuela, su vida nunca habría cambiado.
Estaba decidida a cambiar su camino aprovechando al máximo lo que se le dio en la vida.

Esta misión está muy inspirada en todo lo que he aprendido de ella.

SAÏA was born out of my passion and frustration.

I am an English/Mexican yoga enthusiast and animal lover with a background in the fashion industry.

Soon after yoga became a part of my life I started my search for the perfect yoga mat bag, one that would be functional and look beautiful whether I was wearing my yoga leggings or any other outfit.

I was one of many women with this problem, and after searching restlessly for a beautiful product, it became my passion to bridge the gap between fashion and yoga mat bags and bring a product to life that women would love and feel proud to wear.

With my grandma's help who is a seamstress we created the first prototype and SAÏA was born.

SAÏA means 'A Woman Who Wins' and is inspired in a personal story of female empowerment that has influenced me from when I was a young girl.

My great-grandmother, Calandita, a very humble woman that lived and worked on a small farm.
When she was old enough, she sold a cow to finance her way out of the farm and into the city in search of better opportunities.

If it wasn’t for my great-grandmother’s courage and self belief, her life would never had changed.
She was determined to change her path by making the most out of what she was given in life.

This mission is very much inspired by everything I have learned from her.
