About

Papercuts and templates created in the heart of the New Forest

I am a graphic designer with a passion for typography and a love for paper cutting. I have a BA(Hons) degree in Graphic Design and a member of the Internation Society of Typographic Designers and have gained over 14 years experience working in a busy design studio on the south coast of England, working with clients such as Virgin Media, Molson Coors and Hall & Woodhouse (Badge Ales). I discovered papercutting when I wanted to create a gift to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, from then on I was hooked! Each design is first hand drawn, and then interpreted on the computer. I hand cut each design from one piece of paper as well as digitally cutting. I now create paper cutting templates that can be purchased from my Etsy shop.

I not only sell via Etsy but also Notonthehighstreet.com and am a new artist for Silhouette America, producing templates to use on the Silhouette cutting machines.

I live in the New Forest with my husband, Allan, daughter, Emilia, newly born son, William and our golden retriever, Poppy and of course Mouse (my companion since I was 6 months old). My biggest inspiration is my family, drinking tea and the forest around us. We explore many parts of it each day and create many adventures that I hope one day will give Emilia and William the imagination, passion and drive to forge their own creative path in life. They have both been a huge life changing inspiration and opened my eyes to becoming the artist I have always aspired to be. I have to thank my children, husband and family for all the continued support they give me each and every day.

All designs are copyrighted to Samantha's Papercuts, SAS Creative © 2017.
Commissions very welcome, though spaces are very limited.

I always aim for the photography of my papercuts to be as true to life as possible and always take photographs in natural light in order to reproduce the best colour. However, computer monitors can affect how colour appears.

I also give approx measurements for all items so that you can be sure an item is suitable.

UK dispatches
Items sent to UK addresses will be posted by Royal Mail first class with proof of posting and should arrive 1-3 business days after dispatch. Packages are insured up to a value of £100 as standard. If you would like your items despatched as special deliveries for next day delivery, or with higher insurance this can be arranged at extra cost to you. Please contact me to discuss before placing you order.

European dispatches
Items sent to European countries will be posted by Royal Mail's Airmail service with proof of posting. Delivery to Western Europe should take approximately 3 working days and Eastern Europe within 5 working days. Higher value European packages can be dispatched using Airsure or International Signed For, depending on the destination country and will require a signature at the destination. This service will be at an extra cost to you and your package should arrive slightly earlier. Please contact me to discuss before placing you order

Dispatches to the rest of the world
Royal Mail quotes delivery to the rest of the world as taking 5 to 7 working days but this is not guaranteed. Due to security restrictions, post to the USA can currently take much longer with some Etsy sellers experiencing delays of up to six weeks.

Standard Royal Mail dispatches are not trackable. Your item can be sent via Airsure at an additional cost to you which will allow you to track your package online. Please contact me to discuss before placing you order.

NOTE: Customers ordering from outside the UK may be subject to import duties, fees and taxes which are levied after the package reaches their country and these are the responsibility of the purchaser. If a package is returned due to a customers refusal to pay such taxes or fees upon delivery, the customer will be responsible for any costs incurred in the package being returned and only the balance of the purchase price will be refunded.
Additional policies and FAQs
To help me to maintain and improve the service, I find it very helpful when my customers leave feedback on the items they've purchased. Etsy provide a process for this and it really is a few moments well spent.

I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.
