I am a wife of 35+ years, a mother to 3 grown children and have five wonderful grandchildren. I have always been the type of person to be busy at something and now with all of the kids being gone I needed something extra to do even though I work full time.

I was introduced to sewing when I took lessons at 12 years of age, I made a few pieces of clothing which I enjoyed. Since then I have done basic sewing repairs but did not do much else. Then in 2012 an acquaintance of mine started making rag quilts for her grandchildren, and I fell in love with them.

Soon after I lost my best friend of 30 years to cancer.....needless to say I was devastated. The next day I bought a brand new sewing machine and started sewing rag quilts to give me something to focus on.

Not long after that the acquaintance that first showed me her Rag Quilts who had now turned into a very good friend passed away from cancer as well.

Even though my two friends are gone when I sew I think of both of them a lot as they are both my inspiration!!!! They were both hard working, energetic, creative, compassionate and motivating women......I am thankful to have learned so much from each of them.
Initially I started creating Rag Quilts to give to friends having babies......then I decided to try to sell them in my consignment shop. I had a few out for people to choose from but they just were not selling. However I did not give up.....I just kept making more quilts, then I added a few new sizes to appeal to more people. Finally I sold one, I was so thrilled. I have now been selling them for many years with great success including many repeat customers.

So the next move of course was to join Etsy and expand my business even more......so here I am.

Recently my husband and I renovated my sewing room to make it a more functional work space, it has really helped me to increase my production.
