A passion, a hobby and then a changed life.

I started this around 2016 in the early fall with a few old crusty pallets we had stored out by the barn. We have a horse farm here in South Carolina and I had several pallets laying around as most farms do and I just decided to tear one apart and make something one day, heck I had seen it on TV and I am a Marine after all we can do anything right! So I did and I made a wine rack with every attention to detail of the old wood I that I could. I even recycled the rusty nails on the wood because they had so much character and it just felt right and to this day it still sits in the formal dining room of our home. That started the wood craft hobby in the first bay in our horse barn, not a glamorous shop by any means but it worked. So for a good while there I was in the barn making pallet furniture and crafts and peddling them at craft shows and Facebook. Well one day I decided to try and make some concealment furniture I saw and figured I could do it a little different, maybe even a tad better and with my Marine Corps drive and determination I knew I couldn't fail. So away I went with an imagination and a lot of failures but in the end I did it and people loved it everywhere I went people wanted one of my shelves. So after some pushing from my wife we went online and sold a few here on Etsy. It was fun to sell online but I felt that who is gong to want to buy something like wood when they cant touch it and see it, well I was a bit wrong there. I learned a great life lesson that if you make something great and make the inside and back look as great as the outside and front that people will want it and tell other folks about it so you don't have to worry about the business it will take care of itself. It wasn't until the pandemic hit and we were all stuck at home with a lot of time on our hands that we decided to take the online world seriously and now we are loving it! We have met some really amazing people and our business has grown beyond our wildest dreams and faster than even a vivid imagination would have taken it. it was a rocket and we are riding it all the way to the moon and back.

I have always loved working with wood and even as a very young boy I would sneak into my daddies work shop and sneak wood from his scrap bin and just make stuff. Now here I am 30+ years later and my little boys are doing the same thing in our woodshop and their imagination is limitless. They come in the shop and help from time to time and have a great respect for the entire lifecycle that is the Etsy customer experience. They love to help us and people in general, they have huge hearts and we love that Etsy has helped them grow that even further. They know what a customer is and how to respect them and they are both in elementary school, what a great jump start on life. They too make their own little crafts like bird houses that they paint themselves and market them at local craft shows, they love to make money selling something they made with their own two hands, the sense of accomplishment is there already. Etsy has allowed us to do things we never imagined possible and we are very grateful to each and every one of our customers and we treat them like we would want someone treating one of our family members. We know that doing the right thing isn't doing what's right in a crowd it is doing what's right when nobody is there to see if you don't!

Stay Safe and Healthy,

I am a Marine with an avid love for my country and I put 100% into everything I do. I love my woodwork much like I love my country. I started this as a hobby in the stall in our barn here on our South Carolina horse farm. The skies the limit!
