labour of love!
Let me introduce myself, I am Sabine, originally from Germany but my chosen home since 16 years is London. I love this city with all it’s creativity and diversity and opportunities!
I started making little leather accessories 11 years ago, as a means to work through grief but then kept at it and am still going. It started with just using off-cuts as I felt strongly about not creating any waste but rather using up materials. I have switched it up to adding full hides as well but try and create as little waste as possible.
I am trained in communications design and fashion design but found my love for accessories and feel like I am definitely heavily influenced by graphic design and incorporate more and more into my work. As I am brought up in a time without computers and other screens I am very tactile and love working with my hands. So all patterns are one-offs and painted directly onto the leather.
I think I am quite a positive and hands on person and I love to be involved in the community. My shop front other than Etsy is my market stall in east London where you can find me every Saturday. Meeting customers in person is so special and I have lots of returning customers that I know for years
