Siren Bags aims to make high quality, versatile products with a LONG life

The SIREN co. is a brand run by Chloe Miller. With high standards of what a product should be, we create thoughtfully designed, long-lasting, functional, versatile, and aesthetically pleasing products.

We also believe that materials/ingredients be sourced as ethically as possible and kept simple, with a preference for natural/organic materials and fibers.

Chloe is inspired mostly by the characteristic strength of nature and how everything seems to have a function. She pulls motivation from being immersed in the beauty of nature and the utter simplicity it offers. She makes these waxed canvas bags to hopefully draw people out into nature and the world to explore more.

Artistically, Chloe is drawn to the dark, sad songs, the color palette of damp mossy woods, Appalachian traditions, pensive moments, space and philosophy.

I started designing things when I was kid. I thought it was fun to draw up inventions, like the bicycle that you basically never had to stop riding because it was capable of feeding you, sheltering you and playing your favorite tunes.... I learned how to sew when I was 12 and I mostly liked to design and make my own weird clothing, rather than from patterns you bought from the craft store.

I was never one for school. I was a good student, but, I guess I just didn't feel satisfied. I dropped out when I was 15, got my GED at 16 and gave college a shot. I went to community college for a semester and a half and that wasn't working for me either. So, At about 18, I started to travel. I rode freight trains and hitchhiked for half of the year for the next 6 years. While spending the other part of the year in a communal living situation on 28 acres outside of Gainesville, FL. In the community we were encouraged to think outside the box and learn skills for ourselves. Carpentry, mechanics, gardening, plumbing, electricity, etc...

Traveling that way, I knew how important it was to have a bag that WORKS, can handle being thrown around, and if it was at all waterproof, that was quite some luck. I drew my first backpack design in a travel journal in 2007 and it looks a lot like the 1-3 day adventure, to be honest.

One day, sick of working unfulfilling jobs, I decided to start thinking about taking my sewing more seriously. I then started making messenger bags and backpacks under SIREN BAGS, in 2011. I Sold about 400 bags under that name.

I quit making bags for about 3 or 4 years in 2013-2017 while I immersed myself in studying plants and nature and being the manager of an organic landscaping/ flower farm company.

2017 shook my world up and I needed to rethink who I was and what I wanted to do for money. After trying a few things and talking and thinking and LOTS of anxiety. I decided I really do want to be a designer/maker. I love functionality, efficiency, and quality. I re-branded SIREN BAGS into SIREN co., in order to have flexibility in the products i offer. I love making all kinds of things and don't want to limit myself to just bags. In the next few years I will be adding much to my shop, but whether it be bags, clothing, apothecary items woodwork, metalwork etc you can be sure that the SIREN co. stamp of approval means it passed the very high standards of an obsessed mind.

Shop policies

Welcome to my policies page, I am not the kind of person to have a bunch of policies on every little detail. I believe most everything is situational. So as long as you are understanding, I am understanding as well. We can work out anything, with a little communication. I do, however, have a few policies just to make things a little clearer, and more organized.
