I decided to start my etsy shop when I completed my HND in Contemporary Art Practise at D&A college, Dundee, Scotland. I was accepted into Duncan of Jordonstone College of Art and Design and immediately I began a facebook artists page, taking on commisions and sharing my work.
After a very enjoyable and successful few years at D&A, I wanted to sell some of my Amsterdam lino prints that night at the end of year exhibition and I completely sold out. Amsterdam will hopefully be what makes me famous one day, lol!
Living in a small city in Scotland, there isn't much of an art scene here and so I wanted to try and get my work out there, to much bigger and better places. So etsy might have kinda saved my life..
Shortly after my exhibition I found out some great news that my work was going to be exhibited in Dundee's DCA - Dundee Contemporary Arts. This is an arts centre/exhibition/studio that specialises in print making, so I was delighted to hear this.
Putting my work on etsy, will sort of share my story, how I want.. hopefully someone in this artists community will hear it out.
