Wow! After searching high and low for extending dining table, I reached out for custom table. It's exactly what we were looking for. STORnewyork was flexible with my delivery and when they were bringing it in mentioned they had to rework the base design due to size of table (expands from 6 to 9 feet and is 46 inches wide). It will definitely take precision to put in the leaves, but it is incredibly high quality and truly beautiful piece. Thanks so much!

Bookshelf looks great and is very solid. Seller happily set up a custom order to fulfill my request and kept me up to date on the status of the project from start to finish.

About

Our Story

Marcelo Melamed, owner and head designer, began our company as a hobby in the summer of 2010, taking pieces of old, thrown away furniture and turning it into something new. While we still do ‘upcycle’ from time to time, after perfecting our technique we began to focus on building elegant, handcrafted pieces influenced by Danish Modern style, but also heavily inspired by the vintage, minimalist aesthetic of downtown New York and Brooklyn.

All of our work is made to order and made by hand using local vendors for our materials. We work closely with all of our clients to ensure that everything, from the size of the piece, to the stain, to even the style of knobs on the drawers, is exactly what they want before they place our work in their home. To see what we mean, just check out our feedback. We make sure the piece you get is your piece.

We craft beautiful furniture inspired by Scandinavian and Mid Century Modern Design.

Every piece is made with an almost obsessive attention to detail.

The wood used on our furniture is only the best there is.We select the boards based on color and grain patterns.

We use a mix of old and new world techniques in our finishes, choosing the right product for each piece, considering color and density of the wood.

All our pieces are entirely made in the USA. We use only local materials and support American labor.

Shipping
PLEASE NOTE: Etsy's shipping calculator does not currently work on our listings. Please ask us for a correct shipping quote.

For our NYC delivery customers:

Deliveries are generally done the week after completion of the piece. We will contact you as we get close to completion to try and set up a date/time. Please be advised we usually do one delivery date for the week for all of our customers whose pieces were recently completed and, while we'll try to accommodate everyone as best we can, we'll also require some degree of flexibility in scheduling.

We guarantee delivery to your building for free. In most cases we can also deliver inside your apartment. However, If your building requires a certificate of insurance for inside delivery, certain types of insurance needs may require us to charge an additional fee for inside delivery (approx. $50-$150). There are also some insurance requirements we can not meet. Please let us know about any insurance requirements in advance.

For our shipping customers:

All shipping quotes are for standard curbside unless stated otherwise.

We normally ship using a freight carrier. On a very few select smaller pieces, we ship using FedEx Ground. Please note that all of our shipments require a signature, so someone must be home to receive them.

All pieces are checked before shipping and only go out in pristine condition. The crates we ship out in are specially designed and built by us to ensure safety and security. However, it has happened on extremely rare occasions that a piece has been damaged in shipping. We take this very seriously and will move as quickly as possible to rectify the situation. If your piece arrives damaged please contact us immediately. And be aware that having pictures of the damage (including damage to the box) can help us expedite the process considerably.

Please do not dispose of crate or packaging until satisfied that there are no issues. In the unlikely event that a piece needs to be returned, the piece MUST be returned in the original crate or a recrating fee will apply.
Additional policies and FAQs
We do all of our business here on Etsy, from sales inquiries to delivery scheduling. As a general policy, we don't conduct business on the phone. Please make sure after ordering that you have a way to get Etsy messages, as we may attempt to contact you to discuss the piece, ask questions, or just to tell you that it's ready.
