About

Sybine's Syllabub...

Syllabub- an old-fashioned, frothy concoction made with whipping cream, sugar and wine or cider.

Does anything sound more delightful? I stumbled upon this blissful sweet when trying to find the perfect topping for a pie and fell in love with it, not only as a dessert, but as a flavor for life. I love a little of everything, but am particularly drawn to things that are pretty, sweet, sometimes frothy and a bit old-fashioned. I started sewing at a young age, and in the last few years have been freelancing as a costume designer and seamstress--everything from baby slings and purses to wedding dresses. I particularly love the style and practicality combination of aprons, and feel that there is nothing wrong with having something functional be pretty when you're working!

My shop also offers a range of vintage fashion and sewing patterns that I've come across in my thrifting and collecting over the years... One can't keep every pretty thing that you succumb to in the store!

I hope some thing pretty strikes your eye and you return again soon!

A Baltimore girl, I have been sewing from a young age, and spend my free time freelancing as a costume designer and seamstress. I love making retro-styled aprons--and also thrifting for vintage clothes and notions.
