I attended a women's church retreat several years ago where I was introduced to Anglican Prayer Beads. Originally inspired by the Catholic Rosary, Anglican Prayer beads are the Episcopalian's version with a slightly different pattern of beads. I received a strand of beads as a gift and decided to try to make them myself. I purchased a few items and made a strand, which I immediately gave away. I always feel lead to give away things I make. A friend suggested I start an Etsy shop and actually sell the items I make. I was skeptical at first, but found my way online to Etsy and opened my shop on 11/11/11. I have enjoyed getting to learn the ways of Etsy and selling online.
I am grateful to have found this community. I am always anxious for people to request custom items or custom orders. It is very inspiring and helps my creative process when someone else suggests new ideas.
Owner, Maker, Designer
I have been making prayer beads as gifts for several years. Friends encouraged me to sell my wares. A friend told me about Etsy and suggested I open a shop. I love the Etsy community. It is a worldwide reach, but feels like a small village.
I now have expanded to include rosaries, pocket rosaries, cross necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and keychains. I have also made zipper pulls, decorative beaded curtain tie-backs. I also repair prayer beads, rosaries and other jewelry.
I enjoy working with all of my tools, and am happy to learn new things. I would very much enjoy making custom pieces as well. I have included some 'recovery-themed' items on my site such as 12-step bracelets with a focus bead encased in a set of bead caps to highlight a step that is particularly meaningful to you.
I take pride in my work and wrap each purchase carefully for safe shipping. My goal is to create items which will bring comfort, joy, hope and a reminder that there is a power greater than all of us in charge. Thank you for visiting.
