About

The Time Was Right

I was happily (most of the time) working at a nursing home. My husband and I were raising our granddaughter, Sadie. After a parent conference with her daycare teacher, it was recommended that we might want to homeschool Sadie as her teacher thought she was very bright and traditional school might be too boring for her. I discussed this with my husband and we prayed about this decision. I left my job in May 2008 when Sadie was 4 years old. By that October, she was reading!
In 2009, I started crafting again. I had always enjoyed making things for my kids when they were little, and I needed something to keep me busy. In early 2010, I found Etsy and I was hooked. I opened my shop and haven't looked back.
Sadie is now 13 and going into 8th grade. I no longer home school her. She is thriving in public school with straight A's, the female lead in her schools drama club play and she is in show choir. She still enjoys creating.

Thanks so much for visiting my shop. I hope you will find something you just can't live without! I am a vintage linen & lace junkie. I enjoy making things out of vintage fabric, hankies, lace, trims, etc. To me, it is a great way for these vintage pieces to live on, "restored" so to speak, to a new glory.

Returns and exchanges
If for any reason, my item does not meet your expectations or was not as described, I will accept returns. The item must be returned to me in it's original condition. Once I receive the item, I will refund your original purchase price and shipping charges. I'm sorry, but I will only pay the shipping one way.
Payment
I accept personal checks, money orders an Paypal payments. I would appreciate payment within 7 days of purchase. Personal checks must clear the bank before the item can ship.
Shipping
I usually ship soft goods in a padded envelope via first class, as long as the weight is not over the limit. Larger items I prefer to ship via Priority Mail, but am willing to ship via other methods. Please contact me if you have prefer another shipping method. Insurance can be purchased but is not necessary. I do recommend it, though, as I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items once they leave my home.
I am happy to ship to another address if the item is a gift for someone else.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please remember that I use vintage items and in so doing, some of the fabrics may have slight flaws, or may not be "perfect". This is what appeals to most lovers of the "vintage look". Kind of like the laugh lines on our faces. It makes us who we are today.
