5 out of 5 starsGreat stuff. I am spinning it now and plying it with a wool. I think I will be knitting a baby hat before the week is over.

5 out of 5 starsThe colors are so happy. I was looking for something to make me feel like spring was coming. This definitely fit the bill. This fiber is a dream to spin. Thank you. Looking forward to visiting your shop again.

5 out of 5 starsYour fiber is magical!! Best part is that it came on my birthday. I will be a repeat customer. I had to stop and stare at it glistening in the Alaska sun!

5 out of 5 starsThe fiber arrived yesterday. Lovely! Soft! I am going to put it through my carder. I would to add air and fluff and then core spin it! Thanks so much.

5 out of 5 starsThe fiber is beautifully dyed and super silky. I appreciate the effort of tending animals and the production of this lovely fiber. It came quick, too. I will order again from you. I started spinning it as soon as I opened the box!

Angel loves her Darcy. I love the blissful look on her face!
I love animals and gardens--Angora goats are the best!
I started out with the goats as pets, but quickly realized that I needed to do something with all of their beautiful fiber. They are so productive: I shear them twice a year and each goat averages 7 pounds of mohair per shearing!
I have 11 Angora goats in Emmett, Idaho and they are a constant challenge and joy. I used to process a lot of the fiber by hand, with hand cards or a drum carder, but I have too much to keep up with now. I send most of it to fiber mills to be processed into rovings to be used by hand spinners.
Yarn is here! Last year, I sent out a big shipment of all of the fall and spring shearing to have it made into yarn. I have had great luck with Zeilinger's in Minnesota at www.zwool.com. I had it made into 2-ply worsted, about 37 yards to the ounce--it is really dense! It is probably technically a heavy worsted weight, about 10 wraps per inch. I have a large quantity on cones, but I have wound some off into 3.5 ounce skeins. So far, it is all natural white, but I will dye some of it because mohair picks up color so beautifully. I am excited to see what everybody makes out of it!
