Announcement   It’s Just Me… 25 pound bags of clay… and my imagination!
Most of my designs are inspired by nature… especially leaves. The clay items in my shop are one-of-a-kind, handbuilt slab artwork.

I primarily use a rolling pin, and do not work on a potters wheel. I often use natural materials, many from my garden.

This shop is about sharing something I love to do… Welcome!

This was a very cool little garden totem. I was initially disappointed as I didn't check the dimensions and thought it was going to be much larger. In the end though, it is lovely and a fun compliment in a large pot outside.

I love the ghostly trio! My order was well packed and shipped super fast. These adorable little ceramic tags are sure to bring joy and become little keepsakes. I am a repeat customer who loves strolling through this shop from time to time. Thank you!

About

Creator of hand-crafted clay items - Inspired by nature!

My ceramic artwork is all hand-built, and combines my love of nature with the creative joy of working in clay.

Belonging to Etsy was given to me as a gift. It took me a year to be brave enough to open my store!
I actually opened for business in Dec. 2010. My son takes all the pictures and manages the site.
I create the art, write the descriptions and answer mail. My husband helps with wire hangers, and designs creative ways for my pottery to ship safely.

One of the things I really enjoy about Etsy is the connections with my customers through Convos and their reviews, so many of which are both encouraging and inspiring. Sometimes they even give me new ideas!

All my life, I have taken many types of classes, including Tole Painting, Chinese Cooking, Meditation, Yoga... one of the classes was Ceramics. I took an Adult Education evening class taught by a well known potter who was teaching wheel work.

We purchased 25 pound bags of clay in class, and instead of learning how to conquer the pottery wheel, I just created things (hand building), and the teacher left me alone to enjoy. I found I needed only a few items: a bag of clay, my imagination, my hands, and a few simple tools, such as a rolling pin, a tinker toy for poking holes, a needle tool and especially... time.

Over the years I have continued taking classes, purchased more tools, glazing materials (because
I often make my own), and both gas and electric kilns. Hand building is slower. You usually work on just the one piece… putting all your energy and attention into it. It is very meditative. I love it!

When I'm not working/playing with my clay, I often find I am dreaming about it! I see interesting leaves or shapes or textures, the ideas come tumbling out...

U.S. orders: I ship using U.S. Postal Service (USPS) with normal package delivery. If you purchase through PayPal, I only ship to your verified address at PayPal to be protected by the PayPal protection plan. All items are sent with delivery confirmation, with more expensive items also insured. Your order should be shipped within 3-7 business days of payment being received. You will receive your delivery confirmation (tracking) number when the shipping label is created, so that you may track your package. If applicable, I will combine shipping costs of multiple items shipped to the same address, and refund the excess shipping charges back to you.

International orders: I ship using US Postal Service First Class International service. I try to match shipping costs as closely as possible to our actual costs, which works fine for most items. Refunds and Exchanges
I do my best to carefully wrap your selection with a generous amount of packing materials, and then place it in a sturdy box. However, clay is fragile and breakage can occur.

Please inspect your shipment immediately upon receipt. If any items are broken, you need to contact me within 5 days regarding a refund or exchange. All refunds are issued through the original payment system used to purchase the item. Items must be returned in the same manner as they were originally shipped. Buyer pays return shipping costs.
