I purchased 5 things at the same time. Early Christmas shopping and one for me. They were all beautiful and the service was great. It was difficult to choose which to keep for me. But i am keeping this necklace. Beautiful workmanship (or workwomanship). I am very pleased.

Namaste.
Welcome to the Samunnat Shop and thank you for visiting.
When you buy some of our jewellery, you help us to escape lives of violence and to live independently. We love making our jewellery and hope that you love wearing it. As one of our strong, courageous artists Gita said after making her first necklace, "We are not victims any more but artists. I see myself differently now."

Samunnat means "to flourish" and we are growing, blossoming and flourishing, and helping others who suffer like us to do the same. We have so much to learn and always try to learn from our mistakes. But we learn with joy and courage. Sapta rangi means "seven colours" and acknowledges the colourful journey that the original "sisters" made.

Accepted payment methods

Payment
We can only accept PayPal as payment.
We would appreicate if you pay within 48 hours of purchase. We will send a reminder email within 24 hours of purchase if payment has not been received. If payment or communication is not received from you within 48 hours of your purchase, we will regretfully have to cancel the sale.
Shipping
On most occasions your purchase will be sent to you in a traditional fabric "thauli" purse ( small drawstring bag) and then packed appropriately. Parcels are sent from Australia within 72 hours of payment and we attempt to recycle packaging where possible. If your order exceeds more than a few pieces we probably have to review postage costs. Our chosen level of Australian post includes a tracking service.
Please advise us if your shipping address differs from your PayPal address.
Refunds and Exchanges
We want you to love what we have made and our livelihood depends on it! Please contact us if you are not happy in any way with your purchase. Obviously, due to the nature of polymer, and because it is hand-crafted, each product is unique and cannot be exactly duplicated. We hope you are delighted and fascinated by our jewellery but we ask you to be flexible about variations as there may be general consistency in colour but slight variations in design and size may occur where we are selling multiple items in one design.

We will accept returns within 14 days of receipt of purchase for a full refund, less return shipping fees but PLEASE contact us before making a return! Please package items to be returned in the the same manner as they were shipped using the thauli purse and a padded shipping envelope.
Additional policies and FAQs
All prices are set by our artisan team and there is no "middle man" (or woman) in this process who takes any money. The etsy shop maintenance is done for love and the warm inner glow. Every cent made goes to Samunnat Nepal and the ladies decide how whatever remains after taking their wages is used.

Generally, the largest percentage of the product price goes to the artist/s who made the item, another percentage goes towards the ongoing training projects of Samunnat Nepal, a health fund, resource materials for the ladies etc. Another amount is for shipping the work from Nepal to Australia and the small remainder is for other administrative costs. Australia Post is more reliable than Nepali Post. Harsh but true.

LOOKING AFTER YOUR SAMUNNAT JEWELLERY
Take care when you wear and store your jewellery.
Be sensible about exposing your jewellery to heat or water and, as with all jewellery, storage in a box or hanging from a purpose designed jewellery display piece is recommended.
Take common sense precautions with your jewellery when around small children.
And feel like a million dollars when you wear it because it is making such a huge difference to the lives of Nepalese woman.
