Sand Dollar Designs was founded by Susan Ohrenberger McCowan. Sue, a graduate of Boston College, left a career in business to find a more fulfilling creative outlet and to enable her to remain at home with her children, providing necessary care for her daughter Kelly who has Down Syndrome and Autism.

The entire Sand Dollar Designs collection is created with the finest materials such as Swarovski crystals, semi-precious gemstones, pearls, hand blown beads and sterling silver. Sue has been making these creations for years but has needed a push to turn the hobby into a growing business. And that is where her sales manager, Susan Seely comes in.

Susan Seely and Sue McCowan became fast friends working together in technology at State Street Bank. When they were both at home with kids they knew they would someday work together again. So now that time has come and they bring to you beautiful jewelry to keep you in style.

Sue McCowan and her husband Dave live in Scituate, Massachusetts with their 3 children, 2 black Labrador retrievers and an Engish Mastiff. (We won't mention the bunny and 2 gerbils or the turtle for that matter). Sue Seely lives in Westwood, Massachusetts with her husband and 2 teenage boys. (Oh and just one dog).
