Hola, soy Sandra Engebose y bienvenida a SandyLand, ¡donde me especializo en arte y regalos! Retratos de mascotas, cuadros de flores grandes, cuadros de surrealismo pop, ¡hasta velas de soja y otros productos para el cuerpo y el baño con olores deliciosos! Siempre me ha gustado hacer cosas y cuando comencé a tomarme realmente en serio las ventas, necesitaba un buen nombre comercial. Tenía un poco de cautela al usar SandyLand... porque era un pequeño lugar muy personal donde quedo tan absorto en mi trabajo que no me doy cuenta del mundo que me rodea. Estoy en 'SandyLand'. como dirían mis amigos más cercanos. Un lugar seguro, un lugar feliz, un lugar donde todo es como digo.... este es el lugar en el que estoy a la hora de hacer las cosas-felices! Viví una gran parte de mi vida (comenzando en la niñez) con PTSD, por lo que dudaba un poco en compartir públicamente esta 'SandyLand' personal. Decidí que nada más encajaba tan bien como SandyLand, así que después de mucha deliberación decidí seguir adelante y no mirar atrás. Bueno, SandyLand se convirtió en una ubicación física: una galería/estudio frente a una tienda en un edificio de 100 años de antigüedad, y con acceso en línea también conocido como SandyLand Studio en Etsy para aquellos que no pueden venir aquí en persona...
¡Hay una pequeña galería, mi área de pintura y dibujo, y una cocina solo para hacer velas y otras cosas divertidas! El edificio fue construido después de que el edificio original se incendiara después de un gran incendio que arrasó con casi todos los negocios en esta calle principal en 1915. Hay un hermoso techo de hojalata antiguo escondido por un falso techo y ventanas (9 ventanas separadas para deletrear fuera SandyLand!!!!) escondido bajo el techo abuhardillado. Hi, I'm Sandra Engebose and welcome to SandyLand, where I specialize in art and gifts! Pet portraits, large flower paintings, pop surrealism paintings, all the way to soy candles and other yummy smelling bath and body products! I've always loved to make things, and when I started getting really serious about selling, I needed a good business name. I was a little wary of using SandyLand......because it was a very personal little place of mine where I get sooo absorbed in my work that I'm oblivious to the world around me, I'm in 'SandyLand' as my closest of friends would say. A safe place, a happy place, a place where everything is as I say.... this is the place I'm at when making things-happy! I lived a large chunk of my life (beginning in childhood) with PTSD, so I was just a tad hesitant to share this personal 'SandyLand' publicly. I decided that nothing else really fit as well as SandyLand did, so after much deliberation I decided to just go with it and not look back! Well, SandyLand turned into a physical location- a store front gallery/studio in a 100 year old building, and with online access aka SandyLand Studio on Etsy for those who can't make it here in person.......
There's a small gallery, my painting and drawing area, and a kitchen just for making candles and other fun stuff! The building was built after the original building burnt down after a huge fire that wiped out almost all of the businesses on this main street in 1915. There is a gorgeous antique tin ceiling hidden by a drop ceiling, and windows (9 separate windows to spell out SandyLand!!!!) hidden under the mansard roof. I'm hoping in the years to come that I can start restoring this building, please like my facebook page if you are interested in updates!
