Sandy Sea Turtle es una tienda para damas y niñas que aman los accesorios. Me especializo en diademas de turbante hechas a mano, bufandas y joyas. Todos están hechos e inspirados en un ambiente bonito, playero y boho.
De la chica que siempre necesitaba algún tipo de utensilio de dibujo y cualquier cosa que fuera suficiente como papel dondequiera que fuera, siempre me ha encantado diseñar, crear y hacer. Siempre puede esperar recibir un regalo navideño hecho a mano o pintado a mano. Vendí mi primera obra de arte en el octavo grado, una caja de juguetes pintada en un paisaje de playa inspirado en Van Gogh. Tomé clases de arte durante toda la escuela, y cuando me fui a la universidad para estudiar Ciencias del Ejercicio, la creación nunca se detuvo. Siempre decoraba con cosas que había pintado. Recientemente llevé mi tienda a Charlottesville, VA, donde estoy siguiendo mi carrera como fisioterapeuta.
Comencé Sandy Sea Turtle poco después de tejer una diadema para mí para un próximo viaje durante el invierno. (Mi abuela nos enseñó a mi hermano y a mí a tejer cuando éramos jóvenes). Pensé, si me gustaba esto, es útil y un accesorio lindo, ¿por qué no hacerlos para otras personas también? A medida que se acercaba la primavera, comencé a hacer diademas de turbante y luego cosí bufandas infinitas. Luego, con un poco de ayuda de las habilidades de fabricación de joyas de mi abuela, comencé a hacer brazaletes y collares. Ser "astuto" es algo que encuentro que es algo natural, y me encanta ser creativo. Sandy Sea Turtle me ha ayudado a continuar mi amor por el arte y la creación a lo largo de la universidad, la escuela de posgrado y ahora como fisioterapeuta. ¡Gracias por tomarse el tiempo para leer un poco sobre mí y #getsandy!

Sandy Sea Turtle is a shop for ladies & girls who love accessorizing. I specialize in handmade turban headbands, scarves, and jewelry. All are made and inspired by a pretty, beachy, & boho vibe.
From the girl who always needed some sort of drawing utensil and anything that sufficed as paper wherever she went, I’ve always loved designing, creating, and making. You could always expect to receive a holiday present that was handcrafted or hand painted. I sold my first piece of artwork in the eighth grade, a van Gogh inspired beach scenery painted toy-box. I took art classes throughout school, and when I went away to college to study Exercise Science, the creating never stopped. I always decorated with things I had painted. I’ve recently taken my shop to Charlottesville, VA where I am pursuing my career as a Physical Therapist.
I started Sandy Sea Turtle shortly after knitting a headband for myself for an upcoming trip during the winter. (My grandmother taught my brother and I how to knit when we were young.) I figured, if I liked this, it’s useful, and a cute accessory, why not make them for other people too? As spring time was approaching I starting making turban headbands and then sewing infinity scarves. Then, with a little help from my grandmother’s jewelry making skills, I started making bangles and necklaces. Being “crafty” is something I find that just comes naturally, and I love being creative. Sandy Sea Turtle has helped me continue my love for art and creating throughout college, graduate school, and now as a physical therapist.
