Sara Monica LLC is an artisan studio that makes handmade fabric flowers, made with vintage tools, for any purpose or occasion.

We are a small team of artisans hand making these flowers for you in the studio of Sara Monica Flower Crafts in Dunellen, NJ. We start from the preparation of the fabrics, by stiffening them in fabric stiffeners, then hanging them to dry. The fabrics are then folded, cut and stacked, right side up, eight layers high to be prepared to be die cut. Then the petals are die cut with custom made dies (cutting tools) to the shape of the petals. The dies (cutting tools) look like heavy duty and super sharp cookie cutters. At this point the petals are still very flat cutouts. To get their curves we place the petals in either heated custom made bronze flower petal molds or heated antique bronze flower petals molds. The heat from the mold technically "irons" the shape into the petal. So sometimes these flower molds are also known as "flower irons". After that, it takes a very talented artisan with dexterous and skilled hands to assemble all the petals with glue to layer the petals into the shape of a flower. Once the flower is finished, a backing is added and then they are packaged into little boxes to protect them during shipping so they arrive to you in good condition.

Returns and exchange details
Returns must be within 30 days of receiving.
Returns must be in new and unused condition.
Returned items must be packaged in the same way they are received. They should be shipped in a box to protect them during shipping and not in an envelope where they would get crushed in the mail. And flowers should never be handled by their petals, always handle the flowers by their pins or clips. If an item is improperly packaged on its return trip and crushes in the mail, or if you crush it with your hands by overly mishandling the flower, then we're sorry to say, no refund will be given for items you damaged.

We understand that the wedding industry is full of rental services, but please understand we are not a rental service, the use of our flowers to adorn your event and then returned used and damaged when no longer needed will not be refunded.

There are no returns on custom orders where we modified the product based on your request or made from your own fabrics. Or on larger than average quantities.

And there are no refunds on shipping, which includes shipping insurance and shipping tax.

Buyer pays for return shipping.

Send unused returns in good condition to this address for a refund minus shipping. E-mail us the tracking number of the package when you ship it. Shipping insurance should be purchased on larger orders. Read the entire refund policy before shipping. Refund minus shipping will only be given if the item is returned in good and unused condition and when it's received.

Shipping
Orders typically ship within 2 to 4 days (delivered to the Post Office). The time it takes for the Post Office to deliver it to you depends on the shipping method you purchase during check out.

No refund on shipping:
No refund on any shipping, regardless if it's shipped through the website, or our own business. No refund on shipping for international orders or for overnight orders. If you need the products by a specific date, then plan accordingly, there will be no refund on shipping if the Post Office doesn't deliver it to you on time.

Due Date:
If your order has an urgent due date, then please contact us to let us know the date it needs to arrive and if it's possible to do.

Rush Order
Purchase the fastest shipping method for rush orders. We can't guarantee that we can ship your order before the estimated ship date to make up the difference of a slower first class mail shipping option.

Larger Orders:
Larger orders that need extra time to make may take an extra few days beyond the 2 to 4 day processing time. If your order is needed by a specific date, then make of note in the order to let me know and I'll let you know if it's possible to complete the order by your deadline; and chose the fastest shipping option at checkout if it's a tight deadline.

Overnight shipping orders:
Overnight shipping doesn't mean you'll receive the order the next day after you order it. It's simply the fastest shipping method to ship it after the order processing time. So if the order processing time is 3 days, and your order ships in 3 days, with overnight shipping, you'll receive your order in 4 days if the Post Office is on schedule. We have no control of the shipment once it's in the hands of the Post Office, so we can't guarantee they'll deliver it overnight or on the 4th day. And we can't refund the shipping price if the Post Office delivers that package late, since it's an issue we have absolutely no control over.

International shipping:
International orders will be shipped as "merchandise" and buyer is responsible to pay import taxes. We do not ship international orders as "gifts" to avoid import taxes. If the item is marked as a "gift", it will still be shipped as merchandise. Here is a link to estimate VAT taxes http://vatcalconline.com/
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom orders that are made from your own fabrics start at 150.00 USD per order. If there are different styles in the custom order, then a minimum of 2 per style is required. There is no discounted price if you supply the fabric opposed to us using our own fabric due to the amount of extra time it takes to consult, make, pack and process a custom order. Custom orders are not to be mistaken for wholesale orders. They are more expensive because it's a lot more work to make a custom order from your own fabric. Allow up to a minimum of one to two weeks to process a custom order and then add the shipping time in addition to the two weeks. Please contact us for custom orders, you will work directly with the owner Sara and she will assist you in choosing your fabrics and provide the knowledge you need to decide on your designs.
