About

Handmade silver jewellery inspired by history, art and film.

I have always had ideas for jewellery designs that I have never found elsewhere. My shop began as a way for me to share my designs with others and it is a pleasure to know that something that I have taken the time to create is being worn by people all around the world. All of my designs are inspired by what interests me and I try to include the story of these designs in the item description. It may be a historical event like the English Civil War (the oak leaf earrings) or a favourite novel (Flying Smaug Dragon Necklace).

I am a designer-maker inspired by history, art, books and film. The illustrative look of my jewellery comes from my original sketches and everything is handmade using traditional silversmithing techniques with precious metal and gemstones.

I like to create jewellery that expresses the things that inspire me and make me smile. My pieces are meant to be treasured forever in a world where people often cast aside purchases after one season. I hope that my jewellery is something that customers can treasure and I want you to be happy with your purchase. Please check the dimensions of items before you purchase.

Shipping
UK orders are posted first class via the Royal Mail. They generally arrive within three working days from the date of posting.

International orders are sent by Royal Mail using the International Tracked system, which gives complete tracking information from the date of postage right until it is delivered to your door. I absorb part of the cost of this postage option (normally £8.70) because it provides peace of mind for both myself and my customers. Orders to the rest of Europe typically take 3-10 days from the date of posting and orders to the rest of the world generally take 5-15 days. This is a guideline and can take longer depending on customs procedures in individual countries. If you are worried about the status of your order please contact me via convo. I work full time and will post international orders as soon as I possibly can. If you are in a rush, please leave me a note to seller on checkout and I will do my best to post the order out sooner.

PLEASE NOTE: International customers may be required to pay customs duty on some parcels. Any customs taxes & duties are the responsibility of the recipient. Unfortunately, I cannot legally mark packages as a 'gift' to avoid these duties. Parcels can be delayed if they are stuck in customs and take up to six weeks to arrive. If you are an EU resident you should not have to pay tax on your order.

If you have any questions about shipping please don't hesitate to contact me.
Refunds and Exchanges
I hope you will be very happy with your purchase but please contact me if there are any problems and I will do my best to resolve them.

RETURNS

In accordance with new EU laws and regulations, buyers have the right to cancel an order and return goods up to 14 days after receipt of the goods. Etsy has provided a withdrawal from purchase form for this purpose here:

https://www.etsy.com/help/article/5452

but if you convo me, I will be able to agree to a return and get things moving more quickly.

This rule DOES NOT apply to custom, made to order items but please convo me if there are any problems with your custom orders and I will do my best to help. If the sizing of a ring is wrong, I am happy to resize the item but the buyer is responsible for any postage charges incurred in returning an item in full and all jewellery must be returned in a padded envelope and in its original condition.

REFUNDS

If you would like to return your purchase, please notify me within three days of receipt of the item.

I will issue a refund within 7 days of receiving the returned item. This refund will NOT include the cost of delivery both initially for sending the item and also for returning the goods. It is best to pay for tracked shipping for returning goods as there is less chance of items being lost in transit. I cannot accept responsibility for any items lost whilst being returned.

In the interests of hygiene, I cannot offer refunds on earrings.

Please contact me before leaving negative feedback. I am committed to providing excellent customer service.
Additional policies and FAQs
It is advisable to keep jewellery items safely stored in a jewellery box. Silver jewellery can become tarnished over time and can be cleaned using a silver polishing cloth available from good hardware shops. Oxidised silver is not a permanent process and the dark silver colour can wear off over time particularly on rings. This can create a new and interesting element to the design and is often a desirable effect. Silver jewellery can often be oxidised again and if you would like this service, please contact me.
