Hi friends! I’m Jamie, a mom to a very high energy, curly pigtailed, giggling toddler and a brand new little dude and the owner of Saturday Morning Pancakes. I am obsessed with nachos, a devoted fan of Leslie Knope, and a wanna be gangsta. I started this company with one simple mission – to spread smiles and silliness. Luckily, I get to do that one 90s hip hop toddler tee at a time.

My husband inspired me to start Saturday Morning Pancakes a few years ago while I was working a very challenging job in gang prevention. While the work was rewarding, the hours and emotional toll was too much for a newly pregnant mom to bear. So for my birthday, my husband surprised me not with flowers or candy, but with a business plan and a logo! (He knows the way to a woman’s heart). I have always loved to create and he pushed me to start sharing that with the world. Our family goal is to fight for our own happiness and share that happiness with others.

Being pregnant with our first little girl, I was in serious shopping mode. I scoured Etsy for beautiful, pink, and girly things for my baby. But the wanna be gangsta in me was just not satisfied. Why do girls have to wear so much pink, and why can’t I find something that could give her some street cred?! I just knew she was going to have some serious swagger and she needed the clothing to prove it. And from here our 90s Hip Hop Kids tees were born. They combine the staples of childhood with 90s rap to give the soul of hip hop a whole new meaning.

My husband and I have been running this little company for a few years now and we have loved watching it grow. Seeing all those little, adorable faces rocking our tees brings a smile to my happy heart. And packing orders on my kitchen table while watching Empire just makes it all that much better.
