About FleecefulFarm

Sales 571
On Etsy since 2010

Sauked In Farm is a "fleeceful place" in the Pacific Northwest where I grow wool, one day at a time.

At Fleeceful Farm, I raise Olde English Babydoll Southdown sheep and turn their wool into spinning fiber and yarn.

I discovered spinning in 2004 and have since been having fun with all aspects of fiber arts.

Alpaca is the main fiber that I love to work with and through volunteering in my local alpaca group, I've had the opportunity to associate with many wonderful alpaca farmers. Alpaca is a joy to spin as it slides easily through the fingers and it lends itself to many varieties of yarn from fine laceweight to thick and soft. It comes in a wide selection of natural colors and also dyes wonderfully.
Another fiber I find fascinating is Olde English Babydoll Southdown sheep wool as the locks are completely different than Alpaca. In 2011 I have just purchased five of these darling sheep so that I now have my own little flock for a constant wool supply and the sale of lambs in the future. The Babydoll fiber is short-stapled and the crimp is so tight that an individual fiber looks like a corkscrew, yet it is fine and soft like the Alpaca.
These are the two fibers that I focus on, but like all Fiberholics, I enjoy working with all the fabulous fleeces that are out there. Every day is an adventure to create something new and beautiful.

Shipping
I ship by U.S. Postal Service from Concrete, WA. The shipping costs I have listed are typically within the range of the actual postal charges, however they ARE estimates. If Seller's shipping charge is higher than stated in the listing by more than $2, Seller reserves the right to request additional payment from the Purchaser to cover the actual postage required to send the item to Purchaser's destination. If Purchaser determines that the additional funds required for the actual shipping cost is higher than acceptable, Purchaser may cancel transaction with a full refund issued immediately by Seller to Purchaser.

Please understand that shipping costs more for the seller than just the postage. If I find that the actual shipping cost is 75 cents+ over what I estimated in my listing, I will refund you the excess charge. Purchasers outside the U.S. are responsible for any additional fees that may be charged at customs. Seller is not responsible for loss or damage which may occur during shipping.

Thanks so much for shopping with me!
