Announcement    IN LIGHT OF THE CURRENT PANDEMIC: I wish to assure my customers and visitors that I am making every effort to insure their safety. I am currently working in isolation from a COVID-19 free home. All of my original patterns are PDF downloads and therefore safe. All vintage books, fabric and other product have been kept in sealed containers and/or original packaging in a dedicated warehouse for over a decade. I am currently shipping via an assured COVID-19 free location, but I cannot be responsible for any contact the packaging may have in transit; so please dispose of the outer packaging immediately and wash your hands after opening. Stay safe, everyone!

Thank you for visiting my shop! All original patterns are hand crafted square by square on professional charting software, the symbols individually selected for clarity and readability. Colors are limited and patterns sized to fit pre-cut fabric and commercial frames to make stitching and framing your piece easily affordable. Most patterns are accessible for all skill levels, beginner to expert. Don't see your fandom? Need something special? Convo me! I'll do my best to accommodate you.

I also offer a selection of discontinued stitching supplies, fabrics, and vintage pattern books, as well as the occasional project prototype. I was left with a warehouse full of product when the company I worked for closed. All of these items are one of a kind; they have been stored in a smoke-free, dander-free warehouse and are in excellent condition.

Please also look for my design book "I Can Cross Stitch", now available through Annie's Publishing. It's a basic instructional book for beginners with some fun projects on a variety of fabrics and products. It is available online here: http://www.anniescatalog.com/detail.html?prod_id=112201&cat_id=61 and also on Amazon and other online merchants. It's also available as an electronic download.

Beautiful, Geeky Cross Stitch at an Affordable Price

Growing up in a crafty family made me a crafter practically from day one. I fell into professional designing when I was let go from my day job during maternity leave and auditioned to be a model stitcher for a startup needlework magazine. I brought some of my original designs with me as samples, and the next thing I knew I was hired as a staff designer! That was more than 25 years ago, and I still freelance for several publications. But I'm also a passionate geek, and many of the designs I wanted to do were not salable to general publications because fandom is such a niche market. Thus Saving Graces was born, as a place I could celebrate my fandoms with like-minded geeky stitchers.

During my years as a designer, I have learned a lot about making clear, easy-to-follow charts. Each chart is hand-crafted square by square on professional charting software. I hand select the symbols to make them easy to read without confusion. Mindful that many stitchers are on a budget, I try to keep the number of colors low, and size my pieces to fit pre-cut fabric and ready-made commercial frames. And I try to design for all skill levels, so that even beginning stitchers can create a piece they can be proud to display or give as a gift.

That's what Saving Graces is all about: Inexpensive but beautiful pieces anyone can stitch. My logo says it all: when we work together, beautiful things happen!

Welcome to my shop! I have been a professional needlework designer for over 25 years, and Design Director/Editor/Production Manager for a small press craft publisher for 10. But I am also a passionate geek, and wanted a place to share my fandoms with like-minded stitchers. All skill levels, budgets, and fandoms are welcome here! I hope you find something you love. And if you need something special, convo me! I will do my best to accommodate you.

PLEASE NOTE I do not make the stitchable items myself. They are promotional items that I was left with when the company I worked for shut down. Most of them are one of a kind, discontinued product, and what you see is what you get. If there are any variations in colors or quantity, it will be mentioned in the listing; otherwise assume the item you see is the only one available.
