This artist is amazing. My daughter is so happy with how this came out. She is worth the wait and her communication is amazing. Thanks Sarah.
My Preppy & Colorful Hobby
I have always been a pink & green girl, covered in monograms since I can remember, and love the tradition of keeping everything you own personalized, even the walls in your home!
I started painting in high school to prepare for my dorm room, knowing that I could create everything I wanted that would be more personalized (and affordable) than the things I found in boutiques & online.
As a college student, I painted constantly for my sorority sisters (from props in Greek Week competitions, to clothing for mixers, and unbelievable amounts of gifts for big/little weeks!), loving every single moment. My aunt told me I should check out Etsy to see if it was something I was interested in.
I immediately fell in love with Etsy & the people who took such pride in their hobbies & pieces. I began selling my items as a college student, slowly trying to add new pieces and starting a reputation on Etsy. I double-majored in Graphic Design and Business (Entrepreneurship)... I think a lot of people were hesitant at first to allow a "young college kid" to create pieces for their home and even more so to create gifts for their friends and families. I'm very appreciative of the first few clients I had who allowed me to learn the Etsy process, and in essence, taught me more about running a business than my entrepreneurship/business degree ever would have!
With the growth of my Etsy shop, I have also continued my education. I went straight to law school upon college graduation, a decision that still shocks me. Somehow, I have managed to not only continue painting, but I have learned how to manage my time to include at least some painting each day.
I've found that I painted MORE once I began law school. Being able to spend a few hours each day, after studying an unbelievable amount of hours and only seeing black/white on a page, & was an amazing relief and outlet to "get-away" in my work of creating fun, colorful, personalized pieces for fabulous people. It was like a little break with a "pop of color" that I looked forward to every single day.
I have had such incredible clients who have allowed me to keep my priorities with law school at #1. During my third & final year of law school, I planned a fabulous wedding & married my sweet husband, graduated, studied for the bar, PASSED the bar, and continued to paint during all of it! I have been truly blessed with patient clients who understand I am a one-woman shop & I take great pride in each custom piece!
Around the web
My shop on Etsy is a fun hobby that I have enjoyed for several years. Because I have a full-time career, I am only able to paint part time & when I have free time. So thankful for my fabulous clients who allow me to make each item personal for them!
Accepted payment methods
- Accepts Etsy gift cards
Upon completion (6-8weeks), I have every item professionally packaged & shipped USPS Priority Mail, which takes 2-3 days. Other larger, heavier items may be shipped UPS but I will update the client with tracking info and carrier info.
I insure all deliveries & pay for delivery confirmation & send you a tracking # upon shipment.
Refunds and Exchanges
I will not ship any item without your approval, unless you are ordering something as seen in my shop. If it is a custom order, I will send you photos of the item as it is finished and will wait to hear from you before I ship.
If you are unhappy with anything, which I hope you will not be, I will fix any issue you are not pleased with BEFORE I ship the item, but not after you have received it. This should not happen because I constantly update you with photos of the current state of the project and send several proofs before I even begin the process of creating.
I can cancel orders BEFORE I have begun customizing anything for a refund- in most cases, usually within 24 hours of the order but not after.
I will NOT refund or change an item that you decide you do not like once you have it hanging in your home. If you decide you wish you would have told me a different font/print AFTER you have already approved a draft and approved a final photo of the product before I ship it, I will not accept a returned product to replace/redo something different from what you ordered.
