While shopping for souvenirs during our holiday in Thailand, we stumbled upon this tiny shop filled with the most amazing scarves in all these vibrant colours. What they had on offer was seriously overwhelming. I was in awe! Yes, I hear you: “Scarves? In Thailand? But it’s tropical war there, right?!” But yes... Everyone walks around here wearing scarves in their so called chilly winter (I’m talking about temperatures of around 25 to 30 degrees, which they find cold). After we bought, or well, I bought a couple of scarves, I saw this amazing scarf. It felt like it was calling me. Larissa, Larissa, buy me please! I walked back to the store, but then decided that I had bought enough. I mean, how many scarves would one need right?! As soon as we left the building, I felt stupid for not buying it... BUT I refused to go back inside. I just refused to, because I kept thinking to myself “I have more than enough scarves now!”

Once we arrived at the airport to fly back home, I saw this girl walking around with a scarf that looked just like the one I wanted. The one I didn’t buy. And then I felt even more miserable for not buying it when I had the chance. Back in the Netherlands, back in the cold and wet winter that is, this feeling just wouldn’t go away.

One day I woke up with the thought of purchasing these amazing scarves myself and making others happy with these goodies. I mean, if I could be so happy with buying a scarf (or miserable when not buying it), then I just KNEW I would be able to make others happy too. That very day, the initial idea of Scarfz.nl was born.

We hope to see you here again, and perhaps even buy an amazing scarf for yourself. Or even to give away as a nice present ;-)
