Working in the studio today thankfully the heat wave seems to have subsided for a bit.

About

My love of glass started back in 2009. Beginning with a small hobby torch I built my studio up to what it is today.

My glass work is influenced mostly by geekery and fandoms though my love for marine life is also a very big part of my work (especially my love for jellyfish.)

I work almost exclusively off mandrel in borosilicate glass. Though occasionally I do create some pieces from soda lime glass and sometimes I can even be found making beads!

For those of you interested in the science, borosilicate glass is the type of glass that is used in scientific applications, it is also the same type as the original Pyrex glass kitchen wear. Borosilicate glass colours are also more saturated making it more suitable for my style of work that involves using small amounts of colour within a clear lens.
Soda lime glass is perhaps the most prevalent glass, used in fusing, furnace blown glass and for common items such as wine bottles and jam jars.

Hi there, I'm Scarlet and I'm the one doing everything round here (except making the tea, I've got a husband to do that.) I'm a bit of a geek, ok a lot of one. I know Han shot first. I occasionally cosplay and I love jellyfish (I have them as pets)

Frequently asked questions
Gift wrapping and packaging

I do not offer a gift wrapping service, though gift messages can be printed on the compliments slip included within the order.

All pieces are individually wrapped in branded vellum.

All glass is securely packaged, small and framed items are sent in foam lined boxes, larger pendants and marbles are sent in postal tubes packed with tissue paper. The packaging is entirely recyclable and the only plastic used are the end caps on the postal tubes.
