So happy about my recent order. These knobs were the only thing my husband requested in the remodel of our house. I'm super pleased with the quality and construction of these little gems. It's a happy medium for my gun enthused husband and my fixer upper wanna be personality! We love them! Thanks again!

About

Full Circle

A small piece of art hangs in my kitchen, which says, "Sometimes, where you started out is right where you belong." Here, in my cottage under Southern Live Oaks, I've come full circle and I know I'm right where I belonged, all along.
*********************************************************************************************
Growing up in a large family which valued formal education, hard work and "getting ahead" did not dovetail easily with being a self-proclaimed artist from a young age. Everyone in my family practices some form of traditional folkloric craft, however these endeavors are pursued as hobbies, not as careers, and never as a livelihood. Our family crest should feature a whirlwind, because no one simply sits in quiet repose - if you are sitting, your hands must be busy is the belief - playing music, making or mending clothes, embellishing your home with needle crafts, painting, drawing, writing stories, creating decor from found objects, and 'up-cycling' everything in sight because we never threw anything of value away. Our daily labors fed us (literally), but our artistic endeavors fed us spiritually. I grew up doing it all, loving it all, and telling anyone who asked - I would be an artist when I grew up.

It was a different day and age then. Cottage industries, Etsy, online e-tailers, websites, pop-up shops ... consider a world where none of this could even be imagined! College was deemed the practical, sensible route. I completed a marketing and pre-med degree - settling for becoming a veterinarian, if I couldn't be an artist. However, marriage and the blessing of a daughter pushed my medical school aspirations to the side. Once more, practical sensibility won the tug of war, and I returned to the working world in the government sector, then a corporate environment, utilizing my marketing degree. Along with motherhood, this was my journey for thirty years.

Then - Magic happened, and ...Sensibility be damned.

My company reorganized; I had no desire to relocate. They offered me severance, and with that, I dreamed - I dreamed BIG. What if...I could return to my first love - yearning - hunger to create? What if? I was old enough to know wondering would never answer my questions, so I jumped.

Starting small, literally in my kitchen, I moved to the garage, then into a separate building on my property, all my own. I share it only with a part-time assistant who helps keep me on task, and Australian shepherds who ignore the dusty noise.

My pieces, from the smallest to the most intricate, all begin with a single thought - How do I take these materials before me and design them in a new, beautiful, and meaningful way?

I love to incorporate an element of the unexpected into my jewelry, while designing pieces that are (for the majority) uniquely feminine. I relish the practice of taking materials intended for a different purpose, possibly discarded, and creating items completely unrelated to their original use. Rather than recycling, I Revive items.

Revived bullet casings, vintage silverware, and antique coins are a few of the items in my staple of supplies. Other favorites are found in Nature - naturally harvested organic materials such as shed antlers, feathers and wood timbers, the ocean's bounty of shells, tumbled glass and stone, and semi-precious stones created deep within our amazing planet Earth, often fused with mixed metals, and fibers.

Recently I began the journey of learning the fine art of metalsmithing, and this has opened a world of possibilities and endless horizons for my craft. I am constantly learning, always evolving, and infinitely designing.

Perhaps one of my pieces will resonate with you. On the off chance it does not, I am open to customization and one-of-a-kind commissions. If you have only stopped by to browse, I swing the door open wide to my cottage nestled here in the mossy oaks and say 'Welcome!"

Cancellations on stock pieces is accepted up until the ship date.
Cancellation on custom pieces is not accepted once materials have been acquired for the piece or work has begun, understandably.
Shipping
Since the large bulk of my work consists of some degree of custom work, even if the only custom portion involves caliber and crystal - it is all time consuming and I wear *all* the hats here. Therefore, in an effort to be fair to all my wonderful customers, shipping is first come, first served (unless you have Convoed me personally and requested a Rush on a job, which I can usually accommodate.)

Orders will be shipped to you within the time frame noted in the listing and on your invoice (look in the top right corner for the Ship By date) While I am often able to ship much faster than the listed time-frame, it is my 'outside' deadline for shipping, and when I am in the midst of holiday / craft festival season (August - December), you can expect the deadline to be a pretty fast and certain rule. I am wonderfully appreciative of your business and hope you are understanding of these policies.

Shipping upgrades are available as an add-on product in my shop when time is of the essence, so please consider this if your order is a last minute one with a definite gifting date.

All domestic orders are shipped US Postal Service First Class with tracking available. Once your item has been shipped you will receive a shipping notification along with tracking number. Remember, the tracking number is initiated at my computer and once it has reached the local post office, entering your shipment into their scanning system requires several hours, therefore tracking is not immediately available once the shipment is initiated, but will be visible within a few hours.

International orders are shipped via USPS International Priority with tracking and limited insurance. International sales may incur customs fees once they have arrived in your respective country which is your responsibility (the buyer) to pay. Regulations vary but the UK has a very low threshold for importing goods and normally tack on customs charges liberally.

If you desire or require insurance, or a signature, on your shipment, please request this upgrade via conversation with me and I am happy to oblige.
Refunds and Exchanges
If there is EVER a problem with your purchase, small or large, I encourage you to convo me about the issue. I will endeavor to do everything within my power to make the shopping experience here a most pleasant one.

If you request a refund on a stock piece, I will eventually need the piece returned to me before a refund can be made to your account.

Refunds on custom pieces is on a case by case basis - please talk with me about anything and everything. I strive to create a happy experience for all customers, and hope to see you in my shop again.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am always interested in exploring wholesale relationships with retailers. Feel free to write me, tell me about your business, your clientele and how Scarlett Sage fits into your vision, and needs.

I cannot participate in merchandise consignment. I understand the need for this type business arrangement, but it does not meet my personal needs. I am always appreciative and heartened to be considered, though, and I thank you.
