I love the smell and that it melts on to your skin

Great product I use it sparingly as it is quite strongly scented. Works like a perfumed butter for my arms and upper body!
ScENT - Because they're worth it!
ScENT, which specialises in soaps, cosmetics and body products, started out in 2011 by Garreth & Carla, two social entrepreneurs who wanted to see transformation through the lost art of traditional manufacturing. Inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of Brazil's poor to make and sell on the street, Garreth felt that consumerism had robbed us of our ability to make things.
“Our dream for "ScENT" was to create an ethical brand; good for the grower, the maker and the environment, right through to the consumer. Every cosmetic product (excluding the novelty soaps) ScENT makes is ethically sourced, sustainable, organic and supports local employment as much as possible. Further, ScENT seeks to be a business that makes a difference in the world - so with that in mind it re-invests profit into a variety of different causes and charities.”
For every product we sell 10% of the manufacturing price goes to a charity in Nigeria called "SteppingStonesNigeria", every product sold will also give one person clean water for a week, protect a few square meters of rain-forest and invest in other micro-business investment ventures. You can find out more about our ethics and giving on our website www.scentcosmetics.com.
ScENT quickly made a name for itself within the crafting community at home and abroad with its pioneering “Soap Art”. Carla’s fruit soaps really did change how people thought about soap! These hand-painted soaps regularly shipped to America, Europe, Brazil, China, Japan, South Africa & Australia. Not bad for a cottage industry in the small village of Cloughey, Northern Ireland!
As the brand has grown we been able to focus more on ethical cosmetics with the hope of expanding into make-up by 2015.
ScENT is also the only business formally teaching soap-making in Northern Ireland. The business also facilitates soap parties for children & adults, make wedding favours and corporate gifts by commission.

We plan to grow this slowly into a social enterprise. This means people are important to us - you the customer, the people who make the ingredients, the community we live in and those we may join us in the future.
With this in mind the policies below are there as guidelines to protect all of us. That said we will do our best to remain flexible and work with you. Please contact us if you feel you need further clarity.
We have a preference towards SLS/SLES Free, natural, organic and fairly traded products - but we recommend checking the labels of the items - as this isn't possible to achieve on all our products.

If your postage system is unreliable we suggest that you consider recorded delivery. If you would like this please ask us to set up a custom listing order for you.
UK BUYERS: Please be aware that it costs exactly the same to post one item averaging 200g as 900g (1KG but we need to allow for the weight of the box). We highly recommend buying a number of things in one go so you get the most out of your postage. If you are nervous about calculating the weight - we are more than happy to do that for you in advance.
... if it goes over the 1KG package and is less than £30 we will need to ask for the difference to be paid.
We will notify you when the item has been shipped (normally within 3 working days) and we will notify if there is likely to be a delay for some reason.
The purchaser is responsible for all international customs/duties which may be relevant.
If you are an international customer wishing to buy a number of items please contact us and we can give you an accurate price for postage based on weight and dimensions.
