The Ethiopian Children's Appeal has won the UN 21 Award
All jewelry is handmade and all profits help to support rural school children in Ethiopia. Projects include setting up an organic farm, building libraries and classrooms, solar panels for the school and solar lights for families and vocational training for youth and women. A major water project at the Melka Oba school is underway. ECA also support HIV double orphans and three are in university and four have graduated from university. Jo the artist that built it is truly gifted, and I really admire her for playing such a positive role in the lives of so many children. She even wrote a handwritten note explaining the build process, and how she had to use different stones in the necklace. So she gave my wife a pair of matching earing's for having to do so. My wife was so very pleased with the gift. Jo's customer service is unmatched, and she truly understands the meaning it.
