Announcement    Schumaker Pottery is infused with animation and strength the moment it is pulled from the clay. As one holds a piece of hand thrown pottery, human touch can be felt in the thumb hold of a handle or the lines of a bowl. Stoneware that is functional and food safe. Every piece is oven and microwave safe, dishwasher safe, lead free, durable and beautiful.

Each piece is handled many times. The clay is kneaded, thrown, trimmed, bisque fired, glazed and finally glaze fired. The life cycle of a pot is about 6 weeks.

The Stoneware is fired at high temperatures, above 2,200 degrees Fahrenheit. Stoneware is nonporous. When you fire stoneware clay, you are essentially speeding up the geological process and creating non-permeable stone!

I stand behind every one of my pieces. If you're not happy, neither am I! Each is handmade, and they are all different. but If you feel you didn't get what you wanted, let me know! I will work with you to make it right. I will accept your return if it is sent back in its original packaging and insured for its full value within 14 days.

If you wish to return a product, please contact me first. Return item(s) with an insured courier (USPS Insured, FedEx, UPS) and retain your shipping receipt.

SHIPPING

I strive to ship all orders within approx. 2-3 days of payment.

Shipping estimates include packing materials and time involved with packing. If I underestimate shipping, I will absorb the additional cost. If shipping is significantly less than charged (more than $5), I will refund the overage back to you. Shipping is expensive, and I really try to keep those costs to a minimum!

If this item is to be shipped as a gift, I would be happy to include a handmade gift card and wrap it in tissue. Please let me know the wording of the message in the "notes to seller" box when placing the order.

I currently do NOT ship overseas, due to high cost and lack of insurance for lost/damaged goods.

Local buyers may choose local pick-up at my studio instead of shipping. Please include that request with your order. If charged for shipping, you will be reimbursed at the time of pick-up.
