I ordered a bench based on the one pictured here--I sketched up the dimensions and gave Matt the go-ahead to proceed at his whim. I wanted a very sturdy bench that could take a beating for our entry way from lake to lower level. He even used an old wooden water ski and attached the rubber foot-holds to the side for a nice quirky touch. The bench came slightly scratched because the crate top came apart in shipping, but no major damage--I was going for a reclaimed look anyway. Shipped from Texas to Milwaukee,WI so it traveled!

We're so happy we found this shop on Etsy!! Matt is a very skilled craftsman and was wonderful to work with from start to finish. He had excellent communication and wanted to make sure we had a piece we loved. We gave him a little direction to start but left a lot of the design up to him and he took off with it. He created a table top that we absolutely love and is perfect for our space - far beyond our expectations. He's a great guy to work with and we can't recommend this shop highly enough. He even told us some stories about the different woods he used! Such a cool piece. Thanks Matt!!

I absolutely love my bench! Matt was great to work with and created something much better than I'd imagined initally. He kept me up to date on the progress all along the way and welcomed any feedback or changes along the way if I'd had any.

About

Art is a collaboration between the internal and external.

I began drawing and sketching at a young age at the encouragement of my father who believes in the power of art. Years later, I've started this shop at the encouragement of my wife who also believes in my work and in art.

I love it when my idea becomes real and I can convey emotions and things of personal meaning through an idea and some work with my hands.

I've drawn and sketched and created for as long as I can remember. The mediums have varied, but my passion for creation hasn't changed.

Art should be something that carries significance and meaning for the viewer. That emotional connection is larger than the sum of the parts which make the piece. It is always a privilege to be asked to create a work that expresses such rich and personal meaning.

I love art, always have. I enjoy making something with my hands that brings a smile to a person's face and with which they can connect. I've been tinkering for years and finally decided to expand my market and processes. Hope you enjoy what you find.

Returns and exchanges
Tentatively, there are no full refunds. I will do my best to resolve any problem or issue to the customer's absolute satisfaction whether through modification of the piece or partial refund. However, because the art is custom, there is no guarantee that it could be resold if returned.
This means communicating exact and specific ideas to the artist is of major importance.
Ultimately, I want you to be completely satisfied with what I did as a result of your ideas. Therefore, I'm committed to amicably solving any issues or concerns you may have.
Payment
Payment in full at the time the order is placed is required. The reason is that some of the materials I use to complete your project may be specialized or may be materials I do not have readily available and would need to be purchased immediately in order to ensure their quality and that I can begin promptly.
This shop accepts all major credit cards, Paypal, and Etsy gift cards. No checks or money orders. Cash for the local delivery fee ($100) only is accepted.
Shipping
Most items (large, furniture size) can be shipped through a freight company, either Pilot or R&L Carriers, door-to-door. The cost is reasonable for most large packages. I can provide a rough estimate once I have the dimensions of your custom piece.

Cost of shipment will be prepaid as estimated. In the case of a customer overpaying for shipment, the difference will be reimbursed in the same form payment was made. In the case of underpayment of shipping costs, as long as the difference is less than $50, I will pay. If the difference is greater than $50, I will contact you to arrange additional payment for shipping.

Products are available for local pick up only in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. I am willing to drive a reasonable distance (within 60 miles) to deliver it for $100.

Oil pastels will be shipped through USPS to the lower 48 unless otherwise specified and payment for alternative shipping method is discussed.

Customer will be contacted immediately after item is ready for shipment or pick up.
