What am I? We're still figuring that out!
Well hello there, I'm Emma Palmer the creater of scribbles and scraps.
If your reading this out of insatiable curiosity wondering who I am and why you should buy my products and how you can no I'm not a fraud, such as I do here on etsy.
Well thanks for the interest! I am happy you metaphorically asked those questions.
Anyways ever since I was littlle I have always loved art, my parents are musicians so the creativity in our house flows and sometimes it seems like we're up to our ears in ideas (albeit ridiculous and not so ridiculous combined) but when I was 9 I moved to Uganda. We lived there for a year and I learned many crafting techniques from my Ugandan friends.
Just before we lived there for a year we moved back,
and I guess I could say from the moment I saw all the sellers booths at a small craft show in our town I knew I wanted to quite frankly be a starving artist.
It has come in waves but they get bigger and bigger as they come.
So what do you do when your a kid and you have a small business that you actively take care of?
Where do the profits go?
How do you advertise?
With all these and more questions going through my head I decided to go the nonprofit rout and I'm proud to say that in a years time I reached my goal of a water tank for my Ugandan friends.
So what now?
What exactly do I want this all to be?
This is what I've been thinking about and I really haven't yet reached a conclusion yet.
But there's one thing I can guarantee and that is that whatever my next step is it will be made with my little easy shop in mind and my 15 costumers so far.
Owner, Maker, Designer, Curator, All Of The Above
Making things with my hands plays a big part in my life and I like to share a select few with the world outside that I hear so much about. I really love sewing and beading, also mix media using an armada of things that I've found and repurposed.
