Leanna was so accommodating! I wanted to buy a ready-made bodice and she was incredible in helping me determine if it would be a good fit before buying. The bodice is a lovely quality product and even better looking in person than in the photos. Thank you, Leanna...I look forward to purchasing from you again! :)

About

There's always a better way to do something.

I am certain that my drive to create came from spending time as a young child in my dad's garage, watching him make amazing things! I would spend hours watching him working with his lathe, creating beautiful things from metal and wood. He would give me old things to take apart. I am sure it was to keep me busy while he worked, but I got a first hand look at how things were put together and how they functioned. My dad always said, "Everything was made by a little old lady in Kansas." That told me that if the little old lady in Kansas could put something together, I could find a way to fix it or make something of my own.

From those early years in the garage, I learned that I could create things of beauty as well. Some of you will remember Home Economics classes in Junior High School. These were required classes and taught kids how to sew and cook. I was particularly interested in the sewing portion of that class.

I remember making a dress, in my pre-teen years. My older sisters thought the dress needed some "help", so they took it apart and fixed it for me. I decided from that point on, that I would never again make anything that needed to be "fixed". I spent years studying clothing construction, patterns and even took a pattern drafting course in a local college, so I could eventually make my own patterns.

By the time I was in High School, I was making most all of my own clothes and started my own business at the age of 17. Since most people knew that I was making clothing, I never had to advertise to get work. I have always had steady customers. I have truly been blessed.

As time went on, I discovered many more talents were waiting to be explored and took up crochet, machine knitting, book making, jewelry design, wedding dress reconstruction, etc. One of my favorite things is making Victorian era clothing for re-enactors. I love to design dresses and accessories from that time period.

Life is a great adventure and I am so thankful for all of the creative people out there who bring beauty into this world!

I love making things with my hands! I have been crafting since I was a young child. There are so many interesting things to try and I don't feel satisfied until I try them all! I only wish there were more hours in a day.

With a money order or personal check, I will ship the item after I have confirmation from my bank that they have cleared. If you need to cancel a sale, please notify me by convo as soon as possible. I understand when problems arise.
Shipping
I ship either the same day or the next day (depending on what time the sale happens) by USPS. If you prefer a different shipping method, I am happy to oblige. Just convo your preference. I charge actual shipping charges (as close as I can get them) including the cost of packaging. I never charge a handling fee.

Additional policies and FAQs
I do accept custom orders. I expect that the clothing in my shop won't fit everyone, so if you see something you like but need a different size, please convo me and I will work with you! I guarantee my work to be free of defects, although occasionally I may miss a flaw in the fabric. Should one be discovered, I will replace the item as long as it isn't a one of a kind where I would unlikely have replacement fabric. In that case, I would let you choose a new item or get a refund.
