I love drinking my tea from this tea bowl every morning. The colors are beautiful and change with the light throughout the day. It sits perfectly in my hands.

They were a gift for my daughter. She's over-the-moon about them. Lovely!

Mugs are beautiful and fit your hand perfectly. I had purchased one in the past and couldn't wait to buy more.

Thank you for visiting my shop, Second Skin Pottery! I've been making thrown pottery since 2001, and I'm currently a member of a ceramics studio cooperative in San Francisco. I love using handmade items in my daily life, and I hope purchased pieces will be used and loved.

Each piece is made by hand; small variations, even among pieces of a "set", are expected and part of the character of handmade ceramics.

Most of my pieces are high-fired stoneware or porcelain. Unless specifically noted, all glazes are lead-free and have been tested food-safe. This pottery is not safe for stovetop use, but can be warmed in a low oven or microwave. Items are typically dishwasher safe, but I recommend washing by hand since each piece is unique and may not conform well to the spaces designated by a standard dishwasher.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
I accept payment via PayPal or direct checkout with credit card, in U.S. dollars. Payment must be received within 48 hours of purchase, or the sale will be cancelled. After choosing PayPal as your method of payment, there will be an option to pay through PayPal without signing up for a PayPal account.

If you would like an item put on hold for you, please contact me. Length of hold may depend on individual circumstances such as birthdays, holidays, weddings, etc.
Shipping
Purchased items will be shipped USPS with insurance. Typically I only calculate shipping within the U.S. If you would like to inquire about having an item shipped internationally, please contact me. Items will ship out from San Francisco within five days of receipt of payment. Items will be shipped to the address on your Etsy order; please notify me if you would like shipment delayed due to an special occasion or holiday (wedding, birthday, etc.). An invoice will be included in the package.

If the purchase is a gift, please write out any message you would like me to include in the box as part of your order, and request a gift invoice which excludes prices. You may request a separate invoice be sent to your e-mail address with prices included.

In order to reduce waste, I re-use boxes and packing material when possible; if you would prefer a clean new box, please make a special request.
Refunds and Exchanges
I hope my pieces will be used and loved! If you are not happy with your piece after you receive it, please contact me to work out a return and refund. Returns will only be accepted if you contact me within 30 days of delivery. Please keep all packing materials so you are able to return the item packaged in the same manner it was received.

Since all items will be shipped with insurance, in case of damage during shipment please take the packaging and damaged item(s) to your local USPS office.
Additional policies and FAQs
I do not take custom orders at this time due to space and time constraints. Since all pieces are fired to cone 10 in a gas reduction kiln and each firing is different, consistency of glaze colors and textures cannot be guaranteed from one piece to another.
