The story behind the illustrated jewelry line Seed & Sky...

After years of making artwork meant to be hung on walls I started dreaming up new and creative ways to make my artwork more accessible to people. I began experimenting merging my designs into jewelry because I loved the idea of my work being something you could tangibly touch and hold.

Each piece of jewelry in the Seed & Sky collection begins as an original piece of art. The designs are illustrative and playful and are inspired by flora & fauna, archetypal symbols, and patterns found in the Blue Ridge Mountains where I call home. I like to think of each of my designs as a miniature story which resonates on a personal level when you wear it. I use quality materials and simple, modern settings to compliment the intricate artwork at the heart of each piece.

Most mornings, while Alex and I drink our coffee, we make a plan of action for the day. It's also a time when we tie up loose ends and brainstorm new ideas. I feel renewed and inspired by this little routine and I often am left feeling incredibly grateful for our loyal and passionate customers. It seriously has been a dream come true to make a living doing what I love and am passionate about.... So thank you!!!

Do you gift wrap?

Yes!

Each piece of jewelry comes carefully packaged in a Seed & Sky gift box~ ready to open as a special gift to yourself or to someone special in your life.

If it is a gift we are happy to ship directly to your recipient with a personalized note from you.

What sizes/finishes do you offer?

Each of our images are available in these 4 settings/finishes:
- Silver Earrings (available with short or long sterling earwires).
- Bronze Earrings (available with short or long niobium earwires).
- Silver Pendants (available with any length chain).
- Bronze Pendants (available with any length chain).

***Our prints are all printed on 8"x10" pearl paper.

How is your jewelry made?

Each piece of jewelry starts as an original painting of mine that I scan and make into tiny museum-quality prints. After the prints are glued into our settings, I hand pour a liquid resin over the prints that cures to a glass-like finish.

Will I be allergic to the metals?

We are committed to our jewelry being safe and happy for your skin! Which is why starting in September of 2016 all of the components we use to craft our jewelry are made and sourced in the USA where there are tighter regulations on what metals can be used.

Our collection is 100% nickel-free and lead-free.

We use 925 sterling silver for our silver ear wires, and hypoallergenic niobium for our bronze ear wires.
