seeking an inspired life...

Well, hello there! Can I tell you a not-so-secret secret? I LOVE creating things! I’m partial to painting, designing jewelry and making messes. I also love iced tea, Swedish Fish and Johnny Depp. I’m obsessed with succulents and air plants but have yet to actually keep one alive. But a girl can dream, right?

I’m a walking contradiction and I’m ok with that. I’m a hip hop lovin’ spiritual soul and hippie at heart.

I love to dig deep and ask big questions but also have my mothers’ twisted and inappropriate sense of humor.

I’ll listen to Frank Sinatra one minute and Run-D.M.C. the next. I love Coco Chanel and Banksy just the same.

Oh, and sometimes I drop the F bomb.

I’m pretty shy at first but if we met in real life, I’d probably tell you my favorite joke and send you a hand written love letter in the mail. I believe that a little kindness goes a long way and that brunch should be its own food group. I’m an eternal optimist, think that a hot cup of tea can solve almost any problem, and that people are worthy of 2nd, 3rd and 4th chances.

I’m the girl that got in trouble in school for being too much of a daydreamer. And you know what? Some things never change. These days I dream about traveling the world, exploring old abandoned buildings and dying my hair cotton candy pink. I am in love with all things art and am happiest working away in my studio where I can usually be found listening to music way too loudly.

I live in beautiful Portland, Oregon with my amazing husband. We laugh an insane amount of time each day and love traveling, being in nature, and causing as much trouble together as possible. I’m endlessly inspired by walks through the city, learning about people and their journeys, and by the incredible women in my life.

I believe that I am here to create, to bask in the beauty of life around me, and to love and encourage others. That’s my purpose – both here in this little corner of the internet as well as on this blue and green dot in the star studded abyss.

I am meant for amazing things and believe that the difficult parts of my past have led me to the most beautiful parts of myself. My journey has been long but it is a true example of grace and healing. Because I have experienced pain, loss and trauma in my life, I know just how ugly the world can be. I have felt small and unworthy. I’ve questioned my purpose in life and my place on this earth. I’ve seen some very dark days – my mind still healing the emotional wounds as my body heals the physical. I know how hard it can be to have hope…how hard it can be to heal and move forward.

And despite knowing that, I also know that life is amazing! I know that there is hope and so much beauty around us. I’m on a journey of feeling more comfortable in my skin and of feeling worthy. I’m practicing taking up space and setting boundaries. I’m on a mission to fill my life with as much beauty and amazing experiences as possible and I’m hoping to inspire others to do the same.

My philosophy is simple. I believe that by being intentional in our lives and by filling them with the things that make our hearts swoon, our souls can’t help but be nourished in radical and amazing ways. I also believe that we can change the world simply by sharing our unique stories in an authentic and vulnerable way. There is nothing braver than speaking our truth and sharing our messy, complicated and beautiful lives with one another.

Simply put, I am here to seek inspiration + to be an inspiration…

seek + be.

Hello and welcome!

I am proud of the fact that seek + be is a one woman show. When you order a piece of jewelry from my shop, I am the one making it every step of the way and when you send an email, I am the one responding. I'm also the chief financial officer, photographer, bookkeeper, shipping department, tea maker and person in charge of I guess that also makes me the official seek + be Swedish Fish department!

Although I may not cover every conceivable scenario here in the policies, please know that I will always work my hardest to make sure that you absolutely love your jewelry, that it gets to you quickly and safely and that I will do everything in my power to make sure that your experience is nothing short of amazing!

Returns and exchanges
My top priority is making sure that you absolutely love your jewelry. I put my heart and soul into each piece I create and take a lot of pride in making my customers happy. If for any reason, you are not fully satisfied with your order, please let me know as soon as possible – I will make it right and will blow your mind with customer service awesomeness!

Refunds and/or exchanges will be considered on an individual basis if I am notified of any issues within 7 business days.
I except payments through Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express as well as Etsy Gift Cards.

I also except Payal. You don't need to have a Paypal account to use this function, just press the Paypal option and follow the link to pay by credit card….easy peasy!

If you decide to pay by E-Check through Paypal, please keep in mind that it can take up to 20 business days for the payment to fully process. The jewelry in this shop is all made to order meaning I will not begin making your specific piece(s) until your payment is complete, so if you need your jewelry right away, I would recommend using an alternate method of payment.

Please note that payment is due within 48 hours of purchase, otherwise your order may be canceled. Of course, if you run into any sort of issue with making a payment or need a little more time, just let me know!
Most pieces in the shop are made to order (unless otherwise noted) so please allow 3-5 business days for your item to be created and shipped once your payment has fully processed.

I carefully package orders to ensure they arrive to their new home in perfect condition. If for some reason, your package arrives damaged, please let me know as soon as possible so I can make it right!

All domestic orders are shipped via USPS First Class Mail and include a tracking number and delivery confirmation. Delivery time is approx. 3-5 business days. Once your order has shipped, I will send you a message with your tracking number and estimated arrival date.

Please note I cannot send a duplicate package if the delivery confirmation shows that the package was delivered to the correct shipping address.

All international orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail International and take approx. 6-10 business days for delivery. Your package might have to cross oceans and continents to get to you and will also have to be processed through your customs office once it arrives in your country. This process may take some time, but I promise it will all be worth it once you have opened your package and see your beautiful jewelry for the first time!

Please keep in mind that all customs fees, duties and/or taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.
Additional policies and FAQs

Because I purchase my supplies in small batches from local suppliers, there may be changes and/or variations in the sterling chain used to create your necklace or bracelet. Changes and/or variations are rare but in the event that it does happen, your jewelry will be as close to the finished product in the photos as possible and will still feature the same beautiful characteristics and modern sophistication you have come to know and love.

You can prolong the life of your jewelry if you treat it with a little TLC. Make sure to remove your jewelry before swimming, showering, exercising, sleeping or hitting the hot tub. Minimize your jewelry's contact to things like lotion, hairspray and perfume - a great to do this is to leave your jewelry for last when you are getting ready. You’ll still look fabulous and your jewelry will thank you!

The Sterling and Fine silver I use in my designs has been oxidized to enhance the coloring and texture that makes each piece unique. With time, the silver will continually patina in various stages. This means some of the initially darker areas may lighten up, depending on where it comes in contact with your skin. Reversely, some of the initially lighter areas may darken over time due to natural oxidation from being exposed to the elements.

This ever changing evolution of metals is one of things I find most inspiring about creating jewelry. In essence, the jewelry has a life of its own. The silver ages just like we do! It’s a completely natural and safe process, but if you would prefer the piece to be brighter, you can use a silver polishing cloth to remove some of the oxidation.

I have previously sold my pieces in a handful of shops here in Portland and would love to have my jewelry in boutiques all across the US! If you would like to order wholesale, please send me a convo with a little information about yourself, your shop, and what type of pieces you would be interested in carrying.
