Announcement    Hey there, thank you for visiting my shop! You can also follow me on Instagram with @self_care_scarves for more updates on projects and glimpses of my adorable cats.

Thanks to some extra down time during COVID quarantine (and much needed self care as a mental health therapist at this time), I recently did a big update of scarves....just in time for some nice, humid summer weather! But so it goes. I'm hoping to return to some craft fairs this winter but as we all know, a lot has happened and a lot may change with these events in the future. Wanted to be sure these were out there to buy and be cozy any time!
Although I've never listed my larger pieces such as ponchos and sweaters due to concerns for fit and sizing, I hope to do another overhaul soon to get these pieces out there. Stay tuned!

Welcome to SelfCareScarves!

I started crocheting a few years ago while working on my master's in Art Therapy. Although I trained as a painter, I needed a new creative outlet that better suited the busy schedule of a graduate student. Now as a practicing therapist in community mental health, working with yarn is one of my favorite ways to unwind at the end of a long day. Crocheting (and later arm-knitting) quickly became my go-to self-care practice and over time I've accumulated dozens of unique pieces!

All pieces are handmade by yours truly, some adapted from patterns, others my own unique experiments. All of these pieces have been created in homes where cats are present so those with severe allergies be advised, but I put forth my best effort to ensure all pieces are free of pet hair prior to shipping.

A link to this shop, in addition to a portfolio of my painting work, can be found in my website www.jacquelinereynolds.com ....Thank you for your interest!
