Helping you to manage your time and achieve your goals.
When I was in high school I used a very effective calendar that my Dad developed, but it was the last of a printing done in the 80's. When I started my undergraduate career at the University of California at Berkeley the planners ran out, so each year after I tried a different planner, and each year I was disappointed. None of the planners had the functionality I needed to effectively balance school, work, leisure time, and personal goals. Most other physical planners only had space for 8 or 12 hour days, abridged weekends, and no way to track your time on tasks. Online planners and calendars came closer, (iCal, Google Calendar, Outlook, etc.) but I still found myself wanting something physical to carry around, something to bring into meetings, something that wouldn't make me stress over a wifi connection, or type everything on a tiny cellphone keyboard.
Finally, when I started my graduate program I began to work on creating my own planner. The design is based in large part on the design of the one I used in high school, but also on the psychological principles of behavior that I study. Statements of goals were incorporated based on research showing that such explicit statements lead to greater goal achievement. Tutorials for selecting and tracking behavior were created based on best practices in the field for selecting targets for change. All of the elements of this planner are in some way based on research in Behavioral Psychology. Over the next two years the design was revised and updated based on my experiences in grad school. Finally, this last year I had the first batch of the Self Management Planner printed. The current product will continue to be revised and improved based on user experience, however, I firmly believe that the Self Management Planner will help you to organize your time better than any other planner on the market. If you are not totally satisfied with this planner let me know, and I will refund 100% of your purchase.
