I love my wrist warmers. It such a great accessory and keeps your hand warm.

Rosemary sent this very quickly and also included a really sweet note. I bought this as a gift for a friend who's going to Ireland with me and it's so cute I want one for myself!

About

Selkie's Crochet - my adventure!

I've always been making little crafty things since I was a young child - little knitted or sewn items; or people and creatures made from sea shells and other 'found' objects.

I am a real outdoorsy person and am happiest when I am down on the local beaches - that is my favourite place to go for 'me-time' and I find it so relaxing but inspiring at the same time.

I get a lot of inspiration from nature and my surroundings here in County Kerry, Ireland - which I try to reflect in the items you'll find listed in my shop .... whether it's a beach bag that was actually made on a beach or a pretty shell edging to a pair of wrist warmers.

I'm so lucky to have been able to have come back home - I live here with my husband and our four cats, rescued greyhound and three chickens :)

I opened my Etsy shop in July 2010 and am constantly amazed and speechless about how much of a success it has been - I only started to crochet in December 2009 so I know I have a long way to go but once I started to crochet it just felt 'right' and I haven't looked back since.
