Grandma's Dishes
Antiques and vintage have always been part of my life, though growing up, I didn't really enjoy it. I see now that it was because my Mom rarely bought anything. She would go antiquing and just look! Obviously, I do not have that self control: I love to discover cool finds and buy them, whether for my own collections or to share with you via this Etsy shop.
I got the bug in the late '80s when my friend Sarah took me to my first auction, where I won a set of pink Depression glass bowls that reminded me of Grandma's dishes. I bought a book to research the pattern, and soon I was going to estate sales and auctions, finding lots of pretty glassware at bargain prices.
Inevitably, this led to antique mall booths and then ... this Etsy shop, named Sentimental Favorites for all the childhood memories sparked by its merchandise.
