ABOUT US: We select for our shop only Premium Quality Fabrics from Highly Reputable Manufacturers in the quilting industry for one very specific reason: To take the guesswork out of online fabric shopping for our customers. Hence, you may rest assured that whatever fabric catches your eye in Serendipity Woods is outstanding quality.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
We very much appreciate your business and take the receipt of your order very seriously! Regarding Cancellations of orders placed:

Please be aware, once your order is received, it is not uncommon for it to be cut within a fairly short period of time and placed in the queue for your shipment to be processed; even after hours and on weekends. This is especially true during busy seasons when staying on top of order processing is of utmost priority, for the convenience of our customers. For this reason, we ask that orders placed are orders you'll wish to follow through with because once the fabric is cut, returning it to stock limits our ability to sell it in it's previous continuous condition. The long and short - Yes, we accept cancellations, if your order hasn't been cut nor shipped.
If you'd like to return items from your order, please refer to the below requirements to verify that your return applies:

Printed materials such as patterns, books, and items which could otherwise be photocopied - are not returnable with a nod of respect to the hard-working designers who produce the patterns we sell as well as due to copyright laws. You may return your fabric purchase for up to 7 days after receipt for a refund. A 15% re-stocking fee for cut yardage applies and items must arrive to us in original condition. This means it must be uncut, unused, and stain and odor-free.
Clearance fabric (yardage priced at $7 or less/yard) is non-returnable.
Once returned items are received and deemed re-sellable, will we issue refund via original payment method. Customers are responsible for return shipping charges and original shipping charges cannot be refunded. Please allow up to 7 days after receipt for your refund to be processed.

When We Ship:
We do our best to ship most orders the same day we receive them by 2 pm EST, but our 1-2 business day shipping policy allows for fluctuations in shop activity levels (and bi-annual visits to Quilt Market!). Rest assured, this is our day job, friends. Our goal is to get your order off to you as soon as humanly possible.

Our Simple Shipping Policy:

Fabric: $6.48 Flat Rate shipping, no matter how much you add to your cart!
Patterns and Most Notions: $3.59
Some Weighty Books: $7.60

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS - PLEASE READ: Because we offer flat rate shipping within the US, which represents the vast majority of our business, we are unable to switch to offering accurate weight-based shipping elsewhere in the world. Our only option is to charge a shipping fee that will cover orders that exceed 3 pounds (approximately 8 yards of fabric, conservatively), and refund overages as they arise. To Canada: $45.00 USD, Everywhere Else: $70.00 USD. Should shipping costs fall beneath those amounts, rest assured we will refund at time of shipping. We thank you for understanding.
Additional policies and FAQs
A Note about Delayed or Returned Packages:

For a variety of reasons, such as incorrect or incomplete mailing addresses, some packages are determined by the USPS as undeliverable. Tracking will generally show this, so if you suspect your package may be delayed, we recommend you check the tracking that is associated with your order. When packages arrive back to us, our policy is to wait to hear from customers to determine how they would like to proceed, whether they'd like to cancel or process a reshipment fee, assuming the failure is due to an address error on their end. We have found that more often than not, when we reach out to customers about packages that come back to us, we don't generally receive a response until our customers log into their Etsy accounts to find the messages, due to settings that prevent our contact from reaching them. We are committed to one of two options: We will reship, should customer be willing and interested in providing additional shipping, or we will refund the purchase amount, should the customer decide to cancel their order. Etsy's policy is to allow for returns for 180 days. Given that Etsy does not refund their shop fees beyond that point, we are committed to 180 days as our cut off as well, therefore we will not be refunding orders that exceed 180 days from when the orders were placed to the time of refund. Simply, 180 days is 6 months, if you've not received your order within 6 days, please reach out to us! 6 months - is a lot longer. Ping us before then, friends. We're here to help. In a nutshell, if you fear your order is delayed or has been returned, please be in touch with us as soon as possible, so we may make arrangements with you regarding reshipment or cancellation/refund. Our goal is flawless transactions, but stuff happens. We work to support our customers first and foremost, and process corrections accordingly.

A Note About Price Matching and Negotiating:

Rarely but occasionally, we receive requests to price match one or more of our items against another shop here at Etsy. Our position is that each shop here at Etsy runs independently of every other one. We all price the way we price based on factors that are individual to our own shops. For this reason, we don't price match and if we could ask you the favor of not asking another shop to match our price, we think that would be really awesome. Think of us as all playing on the same playground together, where you, our fabulous customers come to visit and share in our fun. It's nice to be fair and let each shop play the way they play best.

Regarding negotiating: We understand that everyone has a budget - We do too! While some Etsy shops are willing to negotiate, we maintain that despite the fact that we're part of a larger marketplace called Etsy, we’re an online shop just like any other online shop you visit. doesn’t negotiate prices; neither do we. Instead, we try to set our prices fairly from the start, along with maintaining a healthy, ever-replenishing sale section so you can always find great deals on fantastic premium fabrics.

Custom Listings:

We're happy to create them for you! The general process goes like this:
1) Send us a convo detailing the items you'd like us to include in your custom listing. If you have multiple other 'uncustomizable' items at our shop you also wish to purchase at the same time - let us know so we may weight them altogether and adjust our shipping method or amounts as necessary, and can give you an exact total in your custom listing.
2) We'll promptly create your custom listing, and send you the link. * *Please be aware - Your Custom Listing expires 24 hours from creation. **
3) You click on the link and purchase.
4) We ship! It's that simple.

Please note: Your prompt purchase is very much appreciated, as the honest and true reality is that the creation of your listing involves a fee to Etsy to create it, as well as the removal of your reserved items from our general listing population so they're not otherwise purchased by another shopper. That said, STUFF HAPPENS and we GET IT. Should you, for any reason, need to cancel your custom listing prior to purchase, please let us know as soon as possible.
